Hakurou brings savage to a whole new level

I love how Geld without armour looks like a peaceful, pacifistic monster but when he's serious he one scary orc.

That's the thing about Gabiru, he's not weak, he just kept getting matched against stronger opponents over and over, like the Orc General and Milim.

For anyone curious about how Megiddo works, Rimuru basically used water and the power of the sun as an advanced magnifying glass death ray. He used the pools of water to focus the rays, and the droplets to control their direction.

Episode 10 had "and I took that personally" and "you're already dead" vibes.

I know you guys weren't crazy about the Orcs in the beginning, but you gotta give Geld some respect after this episode.

I respect how Roshi would’ve reacted to Myulan. I honestly have no idea how I would’ve acted after many of my loved ones were murdered.

Episode 10 is so satisfying in a way that few shows are. Everyone's SO OP, and yet it doesn't feel cheap or unearned. It feels right. These assholes thought they were just going to walk in and murder whoever they wanted...for PROFIT, basically...and they really, truly got what was coming to them. This show is SO DAMN GOOD.

Gaining that regen was likely the worst thing that guy could have done. He made things extra personal for Geld, as regeneration was something the Original Orc Lord was known for. So for that whiny little bastard to claim he had the will and endurance that the Orc Disaster had was insulting. The punk folded the second things got painful, while Geld was still fighting even when he was getting melted down to a skeleton.

Side note, this might have probably already been told in the Patreon as this is all told in the Light Novel, but just to be safe: First, Kyoya (space sword guy) was tricked by Hakuro into using his All-Seeing Eye. Hakuro wanted to beat Kyoya at his full potential, not only to show the actual difference between him and Hakuro, because Hakuro wanted to restore his honor after losing to Kyoya, but also so that Kyoya would specifically prolong his own pain and suffering by staying conscious even after his head was decapitated. This is why Hakuro didn't just cut off Kyoya's head right as soon as they met. Second, Kirara (the girl) simply wanted to go home, her problem however was that she didn't see this world as a reality, so due to that she thought she could just do whatever and it would be fine since she would just go back to her actual reality on Earth, it also doesn't help that it was hinted that she hated this new world. In the words of the Light Novel "She just wasn't mentally mature enough to deal with it. She ran from her crimes, from her killings and now her time was running out for her." Her last thoughts were of her family and friends, too bad she couldn't realize all these people she killed here also had family and friends. Third, Shogo (just a prank guy) was attacked spiritually by Geld. Shogo had obtained Kirara's ability, so he would recover his physical damage, but he couldn't recover spiritual damage, so all of Geld's attacks during that time was him attacking Shogo's very soul. Since Shogo was already too debilitated, when Razen casted his spell to completely break whatever remained of Shogo's soul, he instantly broke. His body was fine, but his soul was shattered, not a death of body, but a death of the heart. Finally, Rimuru and Megiddo. Megiddo is a different kind of spell in that it's not really an Elemental Magic, but rather a Physics Magic. In short, he uses Spirit Magic to create those water droplets shaped by Water Elementals, said water droplets are shaped like convex lenses that focus sunlight into beams. Then, he uses Great Sage to calculate the trajectory of each individual sun ray that passes through those lenses, then boom, ray of searing hot sunlight pierces unsuspecting soldiers. The attack is *terrifyingly* efficient, it consumes basically no energy from Rimuru, as the energy needed to summon those Water Elementals is insignificant to Rimuru, and the output of the magic itself is caused naturally by the sunlight reflecting on the water lenses, so Rimuru isn't actually consuming any energy to create those rays of death. The only downsides of Megiddo is that it can't be used if there is no sunlight and, worse yet, scattering particles like dust or sand can impede or even negate the attack.

The flex of all the monsters was very real. This kingdom had absolutely no clue how quickly they were going to die. Just a clarification: the knight the mage was talking to wasn't supposed to gain a body of the Otherworlders. In the manga, they explain that the knight's skill is basically to absorb other people's skills. They glossed over that part.

In the manga shogo was being held down by that soldier begging for his life before getting his soul destroyed razen even said "we are not good people but so are you"

In regards to Myulan and the attack on Tempest, the main thing that jumps out is that it showed growth for Rimuru. - He realized, as a leader, his words and actions have more weight than he understood up to now. This has been a point of criticism (in universe and fanbase) for quite some time. - He avoided rage killing Myulan. He did this mere hours after he just fought Hinata, who didn't listen to him (which you lost your shit over) and was determined to fight him due to the rage from Shizue dying. These events above and the events of these 2 episodes shows great growth and is respectable, as he had to make hard choices and put his own feelings aside for some of them. This is clearly actions not everyone would be able to take.

Why doesn't anyone talk about how wild Gabiru was in this episode?

I wanted to give more info so I want to put this here. (Spoiler Free) --The Shield Geld used was made from Scales that they gathered from Charybdis and its listed as a Unique Piece of Equipment. --What Gobta used was a New Invention that Rimuru talked over with Kurobee and Kaijin when he taught them Stuff from Earth, so they created a Scabbard that could fire a Bullet. They named it The Coil Cannon Ice Lightning Sword, which is an enchanted short sword (Kodachi) with two magic gems in the hilt that was created for Gobta by Kurobe for his victory against Gabiru as promised by Rimuru. The sword had an enchantment in each gem: Icicle Lance and Black Lightning. The sheath of the sword also had a coiled wire and Magic Steel lining the inside, and a replaceable projectile in the bottom. When energized with Black Lightning, it forces the projectile out like a rail gun. It is stated that Rimuru decreed that this is the only gun allowed to be created, as he trusted only Gobta with such a powerful and revolutionary weapon. --Rimuru uses the Extra Skill Control Gravity to stay in Place in the Sky. The Wings are only there for Intimidation and that he always used them before learning Control Gravity to Fly around, so its like a habit. --Rimuru aimed in the Novels and Manga sometimes slightly off the Trajectory for hitting there Heads or Heart, severing an Arm, an Leg or hitting them somewhere else on there Body to give them a Critical Hit ( like hitting a Lung, Liver or so) which added to the Horrifying Scene even more ( due to Soldiers who don't know what happen to there Comrades and then there are Soldiers who scream from Pain) --When Hakuro opened the 3rd Eye, he activated his own Extra Skill " Heaven gaze" which is a slightly superior Version of Kyoyas All Seeing Eye and allows the user to predict an opponent's move in-battle. --After Kyoyas Head was chopped of, in Theory a Human still lives for 10 Seconds afterwards. Since he accelerated his THought Process to 300 times, that would prolong his death to roughly 80Seconds (1min and 20 seconds) until he truly dies. Truly a fitting Death for someone who had Fun watching others Suffer ( Plus it was stated that he toyed with the Victims he slashed, he initially didn't gave Final Blows and let them Suffer and Die from Critical Wounds) ***Megiddo ("God's Wrath") is Physics Magic used by Rimuru Tempest to gather ten thousand Souls for his awakening. Great Sage works as some Sort of Target Computer, who calculate the Angles for the Water Droplets that they reflect the Sunbeams and various other Stuff. --Effects This magic uses Spirit Magic to create small water droplets shaped by Water Elementals to create lenses that focus light into laser beams that are deadly to humans even at Rank A. Smaller water droplets are then used as mirrors to redirect the lasers toward the targets. This process is very energy efficient, the attack itself uses no Magicules, Natural Energy, or Spirit Particles, so any anti-magic barriers are entirely useless against the beams. --Weaknesses It can only be used at daytime. Scattering fine particles like dust or sand can impede or negate the attack. Being Physics Magic, it cannot be blocked with an Anti-Magic barrier, but yes, if you use a Physics barrier or a wall/shield of the first category. Trivia -Rimuru gained the inspiration for this magic from Hinata's Disintegration Magic. -The name of the Magic, "Megiddo," is the Hebrew word for Armageddon, as well as the name of a place in Israel called Tel Megiddo, which is the prophesized location of the final battle between good and evil. Some more Pieces of Information. First off, Gelds Rot Attack plus his Consistent Attack on Shogo after he gained the Unique Skill Survivor, not only attacked all the Pain he felt his Soul, but also Rot started to attack his Soul too, so his Soul was almost Dead when Razen helped him ( and used his Spell to kill his Soul entirely) ******Shogos Unique Skills Berserker and Survivor: Berserker was the Unique Skill of Shogo Taguchi that he obtained upon being summoned. Thanks to Shogo's previous lessons in martial arts combined with this skill, he was capable of killing 30 Sorcerers of Farmas after his Summon. Admittedly, he may have killed more without the aid of Razen. -Abilities Physical Attack Increase: The user's strength, speed, and other physical-based statistics are increased in power. Death Benefit: The user gains more strength as more individuals die around them. -Skills 「Indestructible Body」: Seemingly increases the physical durability of the user. It does not seem to be Physical Attack Nullification, but it may come with: Physical Attack Resistance and Pain Nullification. Unfortunately, it is weak to Natural Effects such as Corrosion and Rot. Survivor was a Unique Skill granted to Shogo Taguchi, likely through Berserker. It was granted to him based on his desire to live, during his fight with Geld. -Abilities Ultra speed Regeneration: Even when being repeatedly injured, the user would regenerate near endlessly. This does not apply to spiritual attacks, however. 2 other Abilities are Elemental Resistance and Cancel Pain ******Kiraras Unique Skill Bewildered and her Background: The Unique Skill of Kirara Mizutani. She is forbidden from using it when within Farmas due to its widespread area-of-effect. When she was first summoned she "accidentally" killed a vast amount of the mages involved in her summoning by commanding them to die. Due to the danger this skill possessed and Kirara's own dislike for Falmuth, this skill was sealed away by Razen using a powerful Curse and only released when Kirara is given orders for a mission. --Abilities **Thought Domination: **Thought Manipulation: Command: Targets that are within a vast radius (roughly an entire town-square) are able to be forced under her command. This is strong enough to downright command individuals to commit mass suicide. Kirara was still young, aged eighteen when she had been summoned into Falmuth-controlled land three years prior to attacking Tempest. Her skill-which involved influencing people's thoughts during negotiation-wasn't directly related to battle, which led to rough treatment and assumptions that she was just another failed summons at first. Kirara then massacred all of her summoner's until she was finally put down under a locking curse. Ever since, Kirara's skill had been sealed away, restricted from activating without permission.

Orc King was super underrated before, glad they made him useful again. He is after all one of the strongest to fight Rimuru previously.

Remember one of Rimuru's students has a berserker skill? That kid was losing his mind but this Ichigo guy (I forgot his name) was in control of it.

Hakuro really pulled an "Omae Wa Mou Shinderu" on that homie. Hakuro and Geld increased several ranks on my favorite characters of this series list after this.

What Stopped Rimuru from obliterating mjuran on the spot was the great sage who said that her barrier did not weaken him but instead it was probably the ones on the human side that souei was investigating. Not the " possibility to bring them back" which was revealed later on. That's it, just wanted to let you guys know. And yeah if I was in that situation and the great sage didn't say that, I would've destroyed her too.

In relation to what you guys said about Myulan choosing her life over the people of Tempest, in the manga version of the meeting in episode 9, Rimuru says to Myulan “Because you value your own pitiful life more, you’ve decided to damn my people.” So y’all and Rimuru felt the same way.

1:40 Myulan didn't cast the barrier to save herself. In s2 e5 Clayman said "I know you don't want to die nor do you want to see the man you love die", he basically said "I won't just kill you, I'll also kill Youm in front of you". You're still free to hate her, I just don't want anyone to see her as a self-centered person.

My favorite part is when Geld put his weapon away as a sign of disrespect, because when he fights with honor and show respect to his enemies he will use everything in his fight. Putting that large cleaver away was his way of mocking his enemy.

SO idk if they're going to explain it next episode or not, but the knight that was talking to Razen when he killed the last otherworlder has a unique ability. He is ALSO an otherworlder, and his ability is Spearhead, which grants him the abilities of people who die in his vicinity. They basically wanted those 3 kids to all die in his presence so he could gain their skills.

The shield he was using was made of Charybdis scales, it is pretty obvious.

It doesn't quite acknowledge it in the anime, but in the book Rimuru is pretty openly keeping her alive to make sure Youm cooperates on the king replacement thing. I wouldn't blame anybody for killing her though, I might do that.

In web novel, it describe Megido as using water manipulation to create lenses. Giant lenses at the top of stratosphere and thousand tiny lenses below. Basically, Rimuru create thousand plasma laser into the armies. And the plasma lasers doesn't stay stationary too. It moves, cutting soldiers clean off! So I was disappoint when it doesn't look like what I imagine.
