I love the old Black Hole toys. I have several of the Mego dolls, the magnetic VINcent, a couple of Maximillian figures, and a number of the smaller action figures (as well as books, games, viewmaster reels,etc ). I personally have always felt that The Black Hole was a superior movie to Star Wars, not meaning to offend anyone.
Hi Granville, that sounds like a nice collection. Ive considered the 12" figures myself at times, but I don't have the childhood connection with them that I have with these smaller figures. Star Wars is my life, so I'm bound to fall into the camp that thinks it's better, but The Black Hole is right up there for me too.
@Hendo Well, I absolutely loved Star Wars way back when it first hit the theatres in 1977, and I really enjoyed Empire and Return, but then, over the years they've just bastardized it and run it into the ground. It was fun, all those years ago, but it never had the darker, philosophical ambience of The Black Hole. And for many years I have just not been able to stand ANY Star Wars. Such a shame, as I really enjoyed it back then.
