What up party people it’s a SPECIAL TOY 2SDAY!!
The toys that started my addiction I mean collection is celebrating a 50th anniversary! Along with hip hop .. SO AM I ! Today !!!!
Mego figures had me HOOKED since I can remember . Like Buck Rogers , Star Trek , my holiest of grails FLY AWAY ACTION Superman !!!
Now they re released some of their iconic DC worlds greatest super heroes .
My favorite SHAZAM ! Batman & Robin with removable masks .
, Aquaman . and newest editions The Flash and Green Lantern .
Now they have the Black Green Lantern but we need a 50th anniversary version .
Now let’s compare 1973 Superman & 50th Anniversary .
Same headsculpt . The suit is basically the same . The new one has a more smoother stretchier material .
If you don’t have the old ones any more these are for you for sure !! ]

Hopefully I can find this next wave featuring Green Lantern, Flash & Aquaman at my local Walmart. I too have fond memories of buying and playing with my Mego Figures & Playsets during the 70's - I wish I still had them. Toys R Us and Woolworth's had the BEST Mego Toy Sections, yep!!! Great video, keep up the awesome work!!!!

Fantastic video my friend !!!! Just subscribed !!! The 50th Anniversary figures definitely take me back to my childhood !!!! That Buck Rogers figure is fantastic !!! Shazam, Removable cowl Batman and Robin were difficult for me to get as a kid !! Keep up the fantastic work my friend !!!!

Great video! I just liked and subscribed.. The new Mego Superheroes are better quality than FTC Retro Superheroes line. I had some issues with my FTC Retro Batman, Robin, and Batgirl figures. They all are the window boxes variants. Batman’s gloves were too small because the gloves were scaled for female bodies and one of the gloves were completely split down the middle. Robin’s head was very loose and wobbly. Batgirl had glue residue that seeped through her costume emblem and discolored her emblem. Her gloves and boots were the wrong ones other than being yellow. (Not Mego Retro). Stick with Mego. You will get better quality figures.

The original Mego removeable cowl Batman and mask Robin were at K-Mart, not Montgomery Ward's. I was 6 when these came out.

Got my RC Batman at Kmart in the solid box. This was before they got them repackaged for their Kresge card waves.

I remember having that fly away superman along with 8”superman, Mazinga from the Shogun Warriors and 12” Darth Vader. Those were fun times! That 12” Superman made me happy because although it wasn’t quite a likeness to Christopher Reeves Superman it was fantastic for it’s time and the only toy representing him. I saw a few of those 50th figures at Midtown Comics in New York. $20 per figure

I still have a boxed Fly Away Action Superman too! 😆 I also have a 1977 carded Batman and a boxed Batman Ive been able to buy the reissues at my local Walmart. The only one i havent gotten yet is Batman but thats ok gor now since i a least have a few originals. Superman and Shazam might be my two favorites of the new releases.

I've been buying them on Amazon. I had these a s a kid in the 70's so this has been great! But I did order the Batman with the removable light blue cowl but instead I got the 66 Adam West batman. Which was great! I kept it off course. But I would still like the light blue batman because that's the one I originally had in the 70's I ordered again and got the same 66 Batman. So I'm not sure where to get it. I'd also like that Shazam but all I can find on Amazon is the one without the box.

When I was a kid I had a Batman with a removable cowl. the arms popped off, and when I got another one, the cowl was molded to the head. I was soooo disappointed.
