Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax!! Spray On Protection For Paint, Vinyl, Rubber, Plastic, Etc!!! 

What is your experience with "spray on rinse off" protection?

Very good review Brian, Thank you. I picked up this Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax. I followed your directions to establish a nice even Base Coat. Now what I do for additional maintenance coats, I diluted the full strength amount 50 : 50 W/ Distilled Water. This seems to work really nice. I just spray on the dilution, then with the first clean microfiber I massage it on, then just lightly buff it out. It comes out really smooth. For the life of me, I just will not use it as a spray on rinse off product. I really enjoyed your review, it helped me pick how I would work with this new product. Thumbs up on a really cool product.

Seems like a great product. I liked how you used it by spraying a dab or 2 on the pad instead of spraying the entire vehicle. Can't wait to try.

I love this stuff so much! I’ve always trusted Maguire’s products, but I wasn’t sold on this idea. When you follow the instructions exactly. (foundation coat is very important) I was not disappointed

Great video! Also, really good idea about putting a small amount on a damp application pad! I have found that spraying it on as recommended is too much. So much so that all that happens is your microfiber towel get soaked with product which is wasteful for us the consumer, more profitable for the manufacturer 🤔😑😒! Again, great job! I am definitely buying this product but applying it as you did. Keep up the “clean” work, nice shop/garage BTW!!!

Just started playing with his product yesterday. So far I love it! The price is right and the protection is great!

I bought this being really skeptical "ceramic" yeah right... But I have to say it blows all the previous waxes away I've used. Stunned how it repels dirt and seriously even brake dust on wheels. I was actually blown away. Car has stayed cleaner and it's made washing easier (less wheel scrubbing stubborn brake dust)

It’s a great product! What I do is 1 panel at a time. I let it BOND. But I then go behind after bonding with a damp with water microfiber. I have tortured panel after that and it holds up quite well!

My neighbor ran full speed naked around my garage when I was applying this, scaring the crap out of me. You claimed there would be NO STREAKING when I used this stuff!

Just discovered Turtle wax Jet Black detail spray. It's given my Tuxedo Black paint the most pop of anything I've ever used (Griots, Meguiars, Rupes). I use it as a drying aid after every wash now and just can't stop smiling every time I look at my car!

I've used this dry but just for convenience and speed after a contact wash and rinse I spray in on rub it in and rinse before it dries and it does a great job and it's fast and easy.

I have been looking for this product for quite a long time now and finally found it at Walmart. I have been using TW Ice Spray wax and detailer with great effect and will continue to use it but I will give this a try. I am waiting as I also bought a Harbor Freight DA polisher, however, the weather in Central Florida is finicky and I can't use my garage for the detailing that I want to give the car before I use the product. When I can I will use your method to apply it. Great video by the way.

I knew I should have waited to watch how you applied it. On my first application, I literally used more on my Prius than I did on my crew cab pick up. I thought the product felt very slick under my microfiber towel as I dried it and I also really liked the gloss the product gave to my white Prius and pewter colored truck. I also used it on my wife's Hyundai Santa Fe and it looks great. I think I have enough product left to do one actual "spray and rinse" in the future.

Brian question: can you another wax on top of is and how soon afterwards?

As a former painter, I have found that they are using this nano ceramic in the car paints. After having used a car with this ceramic paint for 2.5 years I found it fabulous. The car NEVER needs waxing and still shines. Just wash the car and it's done. I wonder if this was will improve an old paint job?

To prolong the durability of this product even more, would it be possible to wax your car (after wash and polish etc etc) and apply this stuff or even put a couple of layers of wax on after application...... I'm thinking bonding issues ???

Great video. I’d like to add that I’ve found that if u put it on dry paint with a damp applicator and LET IT DRY for 5 min ,Then level it off with a lightly dampen microfibre. Product has time to dry and absorb into the paint and the effects last longer especially if you let it cure after you’ve finished 24 hours. Water and shine for months.

This is absolutely the best way to apply this product

How well does this work on glass? Just wondering for all us north east people that have to deal with snow and rain.

Have you ever tried xpc3 ceramic quick detailer tec582. I just ordered some from my work and I love it so far. Idk how long it will last since I just started using it. I even put it on the inside windsheild before I use glass cleaner and as long as you try it will not allow the glass cleaner to streak

I am definitely using this on wheels and running boards that's for sure. At this price, it's worth it to spray it on and wash it off. Since the gloss enhancing isn't there the question is, can it be used as a base and then topped with something to provide the gloss? But then how does that affect maintenance? Can you re-apply over the topper or do you need to strip everything back and start over? Maybe with "perfect paint" no topper is needed? What about glazing? Would it "lock" in the glaze and then just keep re-applying for maintenance. So many questions with these new products. The more I learn the less I know...

Brian, after the initial application like you showed us, what do you think of this. While the car is wet, spray some of the product on a panel, wipe in wet AND THEN rinse off?

I like your application method. I just have a couple questions: Should we re-dampen the applicator as we go, I.e. add more water and wring it out? Or use a fresh applicator periodically? Can this technique be used with other spray & rinse products (specifically McKee’s Hydro Blue)? I love the idea of being able to do this initial application in my garage! Where I live we are heading into the cold and sloppy weather.

I think this way is more Effective, I feel like it's actually getting applied evenly on all panels... This is the way I'd go Definitely...👍

I wasn't too crazy about the idea of just spraying it of and rinsing it off. I used it in a similar manner to using a 'quick-detailer' with excellent results. I washed my car and then dried it. I dampened a MF cloth with water and then sprayed a small amount of 'MHCW' to the dampened cloth and applied it to the vehicle, turning the cloth and adding more 'MHCW' for each body panel. When done, I took a new MF cloth and buffed the entire vehicle to remove any remaining residue. After seeing the finished product, I can honestly say that I believe I have found my new way of protecting the finish of my vehicle. Now I will have to wait and see if my process stands the test of time.

How would this compare to Top Coat F11 and would it stand up to all of the bugs we have in the south? I'm looking for paint protection for my motorcycle.

Would you suggest applying DPC Armor the same way for the 1st application? Appreciate your videos Brian, Thanks much!

It really looks almost exactly like beadmaker when applied in terms of how it reacts when spread and buffed off, but with the thicker consistency of Ammo hydrate/Adams guard and gloss/JLG Evaporate.

Looks like many other "quickie" type spray waxes that I've used on my vehicles, trailer and boat. I only use these for "tweenie" waxing as the ones I used usually only last a few months. Nothing like back breaking paste wax protection if your vehicles sit out in the elements.

is it possible to dry the vehicle using a chamois instead of micro fiber on the subsequent applications of spraying wet, rinsing and drying? i personally prefer chamois over micofiber when drying. i would use the microfiber for this initial "dry method" shown in this video

As usual very good video Brian, I believe that in my opinion and in my world, I would use it as a quick resource of a wash, that I have very little time to go out and have the car clean and ready, I think the product is focused on facilitate and skip a couple of steps in the maintenance of the car .... very good product and economic, an alternative to take into account

What would you do to get maximum shine and depth? Liquid wax over top? Or a glaze?

You can also use this on exterior glass, too.

I find you have to through away the sponge and microfibre because the silica content bonds to the microfibre clothe and it like scratchy glass grit on the fibre

Doing it this way does it not leave marks or hard to rinse of after putting the bass coat down first?it does make a lot more sense doing it this way

Meguiars has been putting out some great new products lately, I think I might try this one next. I use megs quick wax as a drying aid right now, im sure this would give much better longevity, and can be applied everywhere!

How often are you Redampening your applicator pad with water? I notice you keep on spraying a simple dot of product in the middle after your initial dampening.

Nu Finish was good if ya prepped paint too. That stuff really beaded water up to a year ez. I always garaged my vehicles. During the day they were in sun salt rain snow and dirt. Wash when I had time.

Is this product good for protection of modern clear coat ( plastic coat ) which practically every car has, it is UV and hot sun etc which is hard on these type clear coat paint finishes.

What about meguiars hyper ceramic wax vs Bead Maker ..... What one would you choose

I don't get how ANY product can bond with the painted surface, etc. when it's applied while the surface is still wet.....let alone rinsed off without bonding to the surface. I'm very skeptical.

I thought water beading is bad, since the deposits in the water drops will etch the clear. Please educate us thanks in advance

I have to ask a question I wash and wax my car once a week it doesn't really get too grimy I may be driving it two or three times a week and then put it underneath the cover the rest of the week with this wax do I have to wax the car every single weekend that I wash it or can I skip a weekend how does that work
