Today, we put Meguiar's M799 Pro Hybrid Ceramic Bead Booster through the Apex Detail Review Process! Meguiar’s M799 Pro Ceramic Bead Booster is an extremely versatile pro-grade formula that can be used in several different ways, including: as a coating topper, drying aide, boosted spray detailer or synthetic clay bar lubricant. I love the honest opinion on the products you test.You are NOT simply a marketer and put every product in the “GET IT NOW” category. Some products are duds. Personally, I wouldn’t call it dead by the end of it. I wonder if diluted 3:1, it could top up and be durable again. I do this with TECH CHOICE

You going to test Meguiars hybrid paint coating? Everyone that hasn’t tried it is making a huge mistake. Such an amazing and easy coating to apply. But with your own coatings now, I’m sure you don’t want people to see the amazing results of another.

I need to get a panel to test but I'd be interested to see this against Beadmaker, TW Ice Wax, and TW Wet Wax. Mainly as a drying aid and because of the value of each of these. I just used Beadbooster 1:2 has a Drying Aid on the first of a fleet car and I was pretty amazed had the pop it gave out. I got a gallon to leave at fleet's garage because of the value. I guess I'll find out. It smells pretty nice too. Ugh, I have all 3 think I gonna go use someone hood to test like you do with customers. xD Also gonna try to out the stack idea with this after M27.

From what I read from a Megs employee, this is a slightly stronger version of the HCD. Interesting the drying aid dilution is 3 parts 799: 1 part H20. It’s barely diluted! Haha

Question referring to Fireballs Tire coating (matte finish). I applied it on my tires and they look good, until it rains. I prepped it like how you did, used heat gun and let it cure as well. When it rains, it looks like it disappears but then again it doesn't at the same time. Is that normal with your use of the product?

Hi Brian, love your channel and information you share. I have a concern I know it is advisable to throw out microfiber towels after used with ceramic/graphene coatings, what about sprays like M799, Turtle wax ceramic coating spray and graphene spray? would it scratch with the cured SiO2 or graphene on the towel scratch the paint? These sealants recommend using a product to remove the oils from the paint after polishing, does this remove just the surface oils or the oils in the paint also. Seems like you lose some paint protection removing the oils from the paint. And does it make since to wax the surface after using this type of sealant?

Currently using the off the shelf Meguiar's Hybrid Detailer on my black work truck. I like the protection and gloss it puts out, but mainly a fan of the ease of use and the slickness. I'm curious, how might M799 in it's diluted form compare? Thanks.

I Was Planning on Getting Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Detailer and using it as follows & would like your opinion... 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 The car in video is extremely clean... My car is 3 weeks new, has already been washed, clayed, polished & waxed... I'm planning on wiping car down with Meguiar's Ceramic Hybrid Quick Detailer, throughout the day when doing errands or even day trips... Example... When drop someone off at mall & I'm waiting for them to come out, I'll wipe whole car down real quickly to remove any road & environment dust... Whole car or suv can be done in under 10 mins; because with frequent & often wipes, car is really slick & for most part clean... When take them somewhere else & maybe drove 10 to 20 miles & dropped them off, I'll wipe it again... Very little mist is needed because again car is super clean & protected, with only environment dust from driving & road... May drive 30 to 40 miles to visit... I'll wipe it with Meguiar's Hybrid Quick Detailer or Just micro fiber if it's just lightly dusty... Again, Would appreciate your thoughts & opinion... M799 is definitely good, but Hybrid is significantly less expensive & seems easier to use; Don't have to dilute it...

In a years time do you need to use a buffer to get the remaining material off or can you just apply it again, I know this is probably a dumb question but I’m trying to learn. Thank you.

After a,year the product will be gone. You should use a buffer to get the paint clean before a fresh application of any protection. For a topper like this, I will simply re-apply after I wash and dry my car during my maintenance washes.

Don't own a polisher.. by hand would Meguiars Ultimate compound be ok for a car with very few faint swirls? Also if it is ok would you recommend following with Meguiars Ultimate polish ? If you have a different one step polish I can do by hand I would love to know. Also can you maybe do a video on results obtainable by a hand compound and polish. Awesome channel as always.

Give the Ultimate Polish a shot first. You might be able to use it with a microfiber hand applicator, and get enough of a result. But yes, Ultimate Compound works great by hand, and Uktimate Polish is an awesome follow up. Maybe one day consider picking up a Porter Cable 7424xp, a backing plate, a fee green and blue Hex Logic pads and you can take the hand work out of it. That was my first orbital polisher set up in 2013, and after all the fancy new polishers and pads, I'm going back to that set up because it's super easy to use and has always worked well for me. Food for though.

When you say cure time does that mean: I can apply it in sun... Wipe it down... Then drive around with it immediately afterwards, but don't get it wet with water? 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 You also mentioned you can use it on all external hard surfaces: headlights, tail lights, plastic trim, wheels, calipers, glass... So rubber around windows are ok? 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 What are your thoughts concerning using this as quick detailer in same way Meguiar's Ceramic Quick Detailer Product is used?

Still stuck to Seal and Shine. What a great product. Lasts almost 6 months on my dad work truck that sees a car wash 2-3 times a week. Im a former detailer. Yes yes I know car washes are bad. All my other 4 cars don’t see a car wash ever. But the work truck is different story, it gets replaced every 4 years, and no point in taking care. But 2-3 car washes a week just goes to show you how strong it is

Hey Brian, great testing on the Meguiars M799, looks impressive but I’m wondering why you would use this as a clay lube when it’s going to lay down some protection before you would begin polishing etc, isn’t that a bit pointless?

You would use it as a clay lube assuming you’re only going to do a wash, clay, seal type of service without any correction. Some people just want a smooth surface with protection, they don’t care about swirl removal or defect removal in general, in those particular cases it’s a great option. Clay and seal in one step.

@@GMDetails I am in the doubt side myself, untill actually give it a try. A decent Clay Lube (i use 3D Purple Solution) and a Soft Grade Clay Bar leaves no marring on black paint (I know, i wouldn't believe it either, till i gave it a shot). It serves well in a coated car Maintenance

Hey buddy love your videos. I have a black challenger in Florida and started using the ceramic quick detailer by turtle Wax. It seemed to leave a bowl stain that was very difficult to get off the car. This is after washing it and drying it. The paint was very hot due to the sun. Even though it says it can be used in direct sunlight is this still not feasible in the extreme heat?

Better than technicians choice ceramic spray? I like techchoice a lot better than turtle wax ICE reformulated .gives a rich dark gloss look on scarlet red.. turtle wax gave it a red orange look.

I just used The Last Coat Black Ice over a month ago on both cars, and so far it's been awesome. I top it with TLCv2 after washing. Keep up the great and entertaining work!

The Dude I feel like turtle wax realized how much it was falling behind in the market and is doing better in response to higher quality competition. McGuire’s I feel has just become to overconfident as of late which is starting to put them behind

Ur using a strip wash, so shouldn't it be stripping the coating off? If I were to use a strip wash before I ceramic coated my vehicle, it wouldn't do the job??
