As long as people realize that this is not a long term coating. I think durability will depend on how the vehicle is maintained. Thanks Chelsea another great video
I looked at this and their m888 beyond ceramic coating. I ended up going woth the m888 because by the time you put in all the elbow grease to get this leveled and clear you might as well have coated it. The m888 has bot performed as i hoped it would, but i think i didnt apply it thick enough and also applied it to fast after my panel prep. With a topper it is doing fine though.
awesome video.. I came across your channel today. I too am a megs fan.. I have been using their products for over 10 years, attended their TNOG in California and use their ceramic wax and detailer... I and goinig to buy this and try it on my vehicles.. maybe even my 2020 denim black Harley.
bit like Infinity Wax's Synergy product in UK, very easy to apply and lasts at least 1yr, prefect for most diy detailers. They have now brought out newer, longer ones now.
Please do a comparison video on all possible 1 year spray contings……. This one, cancoat evo, BC2 V2, immortal, wolfgang uber spray coating …. And any other out there !!! Love your content
Great review as always, Chelsea! Thanks for keeping it real. I'm not overly impressed with this product. For 6-12 months or durability, I think that's just too much "extra effort" - at least compared to some of the other spray sealants in this category. Definitely interested in any follow-up videos you do this one!
What's your most reached for/used manufacture products from decon, upto polish and panel wipe (Superior, Koch- Chemie, etc, etc). Finish would be of course what customer is paying for. I'm with 60trickpa "As long as people realize that this is not a long term coating. I think durability will depend on how the vehicle is maintained." Always enjoy your videos.
Hi Chelsea thanks for taking the time for another fine video there are many many products that you have tested on your channel that are easier to apply last close to as long or longer and are cheaper I don't think you were realizing that it cost about $20 per 8 ounces not 16 like most are packaged some even giving you 32 onces for around same price two that come to mind are Ceramic Gloss and Quick beads from DIY and how bout many Turtle Wax products especially their Flex Wax It may be an ok product but for the price and possible difficulty getting it off I personally don't feel its worth it just my two cents
Yes you can! They may be slightly hydrophobic but they can be reused several times if washed properly. Once they are stained with dirt, crunchy or shedding lint then they get demoted to interiors for me
Yes I want easy application and durability. I really like your video's, but I apologize, I don't use Meguiar's products anymore. I've moved on from them. The pro detailing product companies are creating such cool products that I use these and are actually fun to use. So thanks so much for video, keep up the good work.
Thank you for this video! Detailing a truck this weekend for a coworker before it’s put up for sale… Going to try this product if I can get some in time. I think it’s perfect for this circumstance. Any chance you’ve seen or tried the Max Easy Triphene spray on coating I’m seeing all over TT? Would love to have your thoughts on it once you’ve given it a go! Thx. 😊
Definitely ease of application. This product seems okay and you were able to put it on pretty quick. But I am not sure this is one for me. I will stick with Vonixx Sinergy Paint Spray Coating which you recommended. Thank you for all that you do.
I loved Hybrid Paint Coating and this looks like a nice follow up. Props to the owner of that amazing spec GFG Alltrack. Looks like it has Marrakesh interior as well. My winter is a Black Pearl with Marrakesh.
Ive tried dozens of these ceramic sprays as im sure you have. My honest opinion. They are all pretty similar. You get some that give slightly better gloss, durability or slickness but i never find theres night and day difference in any of them. My favourites at the moment are 3D GLW Ceramic Detailer (smells out of this world) and DIY Ceramic Gloss.
I think we are looking for ease of application and durability.I like the price point and its ease of Availability over the counter . What I did not like was it appears to take little more effort to wipe and level but still did not seem bad. I would most likely give it a try specially with the customer who wants something for protecting their paint but can’t afford that long term coating! Awesome job love your vids very well done!!
I had no issue with the buffing. I worked it in, then buffed off. If you're used to being thorough, it shouldn't be noticable. Wiling off something like Ceramic Pro 8H will make you lose your fiath in ceramic coatings. Took me two days to coat a car.
This is an excellent product. Very very slick. Water has no chance to stay on any surface. Now i found it difficult to level it..and this is how i found an easy solution. I use my DA with fine Microsoft pad. I use it to level it. But i do apply with hand first. For leveling, i use DA with very fine Microsoft pad. Works very well. Thanks for the video. I was able to do 7 mid-size cars with one bottle. Answer to your question, i am looking for very high gloss. And this product gave me this final kick.......very high gloss.
That lasts 3-4 months from my testing and can leave spots on the glass and paint that need removing after (as most spray and rinse products do) so yes very easy but sometimes still requires effort to remove the spots and you go through that product a lot more vs this per vehicle
Personally I've used the McKees graphene pro for the last 5 cars as a hobby detailer. It's like such an easy product to apply, and such a long lasting coating, also with crazy gloss... It's just so hard to go wrong with it, and you can usually get it on a sale for $180-200
My main one is the Mckees 37 Graphene but the Ethos Graphene v2 has been impressing me very much lately and I may be considering switching if testing goes well…
@@attention2detailswchelseayeah I like the slickness from video on the ethos. I do like the chemical resistance from mckees though. I want longetivity more than anything. The slickness I can always add by stacking with their max.
I was indeed curious, but the initial application process and protection time means I’m still going to prefer the BC product line. The price is higher, but my sacrificial layer lasts as long as this product does so I’m okay with the price point…
I got a gallon of Bc3 on sale for $40-ish, granted it was a special sale, but I'd rather buy a gallon of that even at $75 than this if it truly only lasts 6 months. BC3 is so easy even if I have to apply it twice as much it seems worth it.
Great video! Question, do you ever use a primer polish or promer before applying a sealant or ceramic coating. Like Gyeosm Prime or Labocosmetics Fiero, etc??
My 2023 Kia is a year old and paint is in great condition. I’ve used two waxes on my vehicle, but I’m skeptical about prepping my vehicle & the hole polishing thing. But I’m open to getting wipes to wipe down first.
Appreciate the info. But no way will I be in a hurry to use this product. It's issues, for me, are deal breakers. Shame because I cut my teeth on Meg products back in the day and I'll always be fond of them.
I don’t have the luxury of a garage, but I’ve seen the streaks. I’ve applied it twice so far and I’m liking it better than the last product I used. I’m getting better at applying it. I will apply a 3rd coat soon, and I’ll do the plastic trim & wheels at that time. Before winter sets, I’ll have 4 coats on my vehicle ensuring decent coverage and thickness. I may use a spin brush or buffer to remove the product to ensure I don’t miss any spots.
I'm just not a fan of anything from those big box stores. You get what you pay for. If you don't do the proper decon and prep it's not lasting long. What regular consumer is going to fool with all that? That's why we're in this business.
Very nice review we dont have this product in the UK, I find America does have more product choice. With the spray trigger do you have to flush it out on some products the triggers crystallise will interesting to know so I know which bread of coating this may be on the market
That’s an interesting theory… I haven’t tested that but it could help work it into the paint better. I just wonder if the pad would absorb too much of it and it would be harder to remove
