Of course they brought in this law; Scotland's First Minister is a Muslim and this prevents anyone from criticizing his religion. It is kind of surprising to see the SNP do this though as its supporters hate the English and Conservatives and have no problem spouting off about either of them. I wonder how the SNP will feel if this law is used against their own supporters?

I noted that hate only applies to named groups of people. People like me: white woman, mother of four (same father: to whom I'm still married) Christian and Conservative are not protected. So we can be vilified and bullied but left unprotected. I totally oppose laws against speech but if they are to exist, then surely they should apply to all not just a chosen few. Poor Scotland.

I'm a lifelong SNP supporter. f a new Government is elected n Scotland, they tend not to repeal previous Acts. Apparently the Labour voted for this Act. Vote for Reform in the UK.
