As a Palestinian American I can tell my experiences but a lot of the time youtube doesn't let it show up, like literally check the video in an incognito tab and can't find my comment but sometimes people see it so I keep trying. Americans for my entire life have been open about the fact that they think Palestine does not exist or will not exist soon. Most of my life I have not felt my family's life or my life has been valued. The Israeli soldier that killed my aunt Huda Hawarjeh in Aida Bethlehem said on camera that he was purifying the land. He was smiling and she coudl've lived but they refused to help and blocked ambulances for an hour. The CBC covered it and I uploaded the interview to my youtube channel.

As an American I see a Palestinian life equivalent in every way to my own. My vote will still be for democracy through the party who most closely resembles democratic governance sincerely. To not vote for democrats is akin to setting a match to any democratic aspiration a country has. Democrats have charged representation, they have leaders who do anything but lead like Sinema as well as others who make tons of money off of legislation they push like Joe Manchin does. Bottom line is, is American democracy has been shook up strongly enough that existing power structures are having to re organize themselves in an environment that doesn't look the same anymore. The propaganda of the conservative GOP Federalist think tanks is being uprooted as people increasingly see it for what it is. Donald Trump in part is to thank for that as he deamonized traditional leaders as corrupt regardless of party. People individually grow through pain and so does a society. Actually democracy in the West has been eroding for sometimes now, regardless of who is in power. It is more like the frog in a slowly heating water. One day you might wake up realizing you are no different than any other authoritarian country. They are doing it so slowly that most people are not even realizing it and see it as normal. Sort of an odd analogy but I think it describes how ‘’unworthy victims’’ like Palestinians are seen as compared to say Ukrainians who also happen to be white. Many of our elected representatives do not share such an unequivocal view. Some say so but, here in the UK, most are content to be whipped into silence.
