These small gatherings where I had a couple of opportunities, here in LONDON allowed Mehdi Hassanji to interact closely with the audience, creating a personal connection through his mastery of classical raagas and intricate vocal techniques. His choice of poetry, whether from Ghalib, Mir T Mirji or other notable poets, would often resonate deeply with the audience, allowing for a more reflective and immersive experience.
