@@ghazalmushayere,but, Lataji was so great that in a final recording ,she would produce such a variety,that ,Rafisaheb used to ask her ,unhappily,why she didn’t tell him about such a variety. If you have studied the classical, “ ye dil lagata nahi, hum kya Kare”. Just listen carefully, Lataji not only a great artist,she drank all other artists and digested 😂. That is the only reason,she is in the Guniess books of records,and no one else. Not even Rafiji. Let’s just try and understand music before even commenting on our stalwarts.
@@vherlekar Mr۔devidas۔۔۔Rafi sb used to produce diff۔types of variety ،Only he was allowed to give weeping effect ،laughing effects ،dialogues ،۔Also in 90 % duets Rafi sb sang the starting bandish of song ،think why ۔You have no proper knowledge of voice quality ،Even His voice is the subject for phd in university ۔He used to give surprise to every Music director by his own peculiar style of notes ،even harmonium can not produce that effect of his vocals ۔The World knows ،he left for World at his peak ۔If he lives some years more ،ginnies world would have been in his name surely۔ All other singers feel stress on their faces ،Rafi sb 's face remains uneffected ،his vocal cords was so strong as well as God gifted ۔

Jagjit ji had a great respect for Mehendi Hassan Sahab but he never imitated him. He created his own space and no one could reach that height. He made the ghazal simpler for all to understand and enjoy the essence of it. Most of the ghazal singers are more centred around their art be it goes to the heart of the listeners or not. Just Harmonium and Tabla were supreme which would not allow the singer to convey the words clearly.

Bro, in fact we are all Indian (Hindustani), those step brothers made us separate. The revolutionaries were martyred for freedom, not for separation. Resp Mehdi Hasanji, Rafiji, Kishoreji, Lataji, Noorjehanji Hussein Bukshji, Sabri bros, Jagjit Singhji etc. etc. are belonged to all of us. They are the bulbuls of Indian classic music. Hindus and Muslims and many others have served fot this heavenly music.

A celebrity was a perfect classical singer.Enjoyed life with classy whiskies. But died bankrupt. Sad. He married thrice and produced 13 kids. Lot to learn from his perfection in singing. But how in other aspects not to follow him should be a lesson.

Mahdi Hassan was a great singer . No doubt about it . In my fair opinion Saleem Raza sang with heart and more touching. This song credit goes to Saleem Raza. This is song of my college days. A senior overseas.
