While Mei isn't the best person who can keep anyone on her team alive (Mei: Origins), she can hold her own and can even win against DPS and tank classes even when outnumbered as long as you make smart use of her kit.
I think this round gave me too much adrenaline... fortunately, I didn't screw up. I wasn't too active on the last match because I felt like sh*t, but fortunately, I didn't have to carry the match as it appears that the enemy probably became demoralized after missing their best opportunity to even the match.
Things I screwed up when reviewing this clip:
@00:15 - Missed opportunity in killing S:76, Can't aim properly because I'm naturally left handed but used on playing with my right, and it appears my hand is stiffer than usual due a long motorcycle ride earlier today.
@00:44 - could have killed D.Va's mech with that shot if I had controlled my movements better instead of the finishing icicle hitting the doorway, however I was on panic mode as I knew D.Va is so close to kill me, but I think this would be better as Pilot D.Va could have killed me if I stayed for a bit longer.
@01:08 completely missing Genji with my right click. Should have stayed on my left click. Every damage counts on Elimination, but I wanted to end him so bad...
@01:18 Staying on the line of fire for Pilot D.Va to shoot. If I had lower health or had a headshot, she could have finished me off right there and then. Guess I'll move on the side next time.
@01:37 Forgetting to reload... Although I had twitchy fingers on the reload button, since I'm running on fumes after the last 2 kills, I completely forgot about that before ambushing Genji.
@01:42 Leaving my ice cocoon early... I kept thinking that Genji may use his Dragonblade on me at any time so I wanted to end the match early for him, but if he didn't miss on the @01:52, he would have killed me
@01:56 - End of match. Twitchy fingers on the reload button... Should have used the emote button instead to release the stress (or spread the salt)
Kills/Protips:
@00:52 - Isolating a (not very good) healer. Mei is superior in close quarters compared to S76 as long as you get the jump on him, freeze him, and guarantee a headshot. Looks like they were preparing to gang up on me, but failed. I managed to isolate their only healer and getting a 1v1 against an agile Mei is just suicide.
@01:14 "It's a Trap". I can hear D.Va's just right around the corner and just waiting for the wall to come down, so I brought her a little "gift" and made sure this doesn't get erased by her Defense Matrix by bringing down the wall exactly after it's "landed" and invulnerable. D.Va, meet Snowball
@01:53 Genji: Try Me!
Me(i): Whaaappaanch!!!
All this time, I was afraid that he might have his Dragonstrike ready and would have killed me right there and then
If there's enough interest in this video, I'll consider posting the whole match, but it'll be kinda boring though, however, I'd like to know what my teammates said to me on round 3 since I can't understand Korean and play on the Asian server because of ping.
Do you still think Mei is still the undisputed face of true evil? Let me know in the comments.
