After having the Meike 25mm T2.2 for a couple of months, I'm glad to finally be able to play with the next lens in the lineup.

Quick thoughts:
I'm glad to say the build quality is just as good as the 25. The major thing to note is the decision to have both imperial and metric markings on the lens, as opposed to the 25 which only has imperial. Good in theory right? Well, not so practical as the markings can only be read from the left side of the lens.
Another thing is the quality control, with the 25mm some had issues with it being too stiff. On the 16mm there have been at least two customers who had a loose screw inside the lens. On my lens, the metric and imperial marks are not aligned as judged by the infinity marks being about a millimeter apart. However getting replacements seems to have worked out for those who've felt the need.

Nice to see some footage shot with this lens. I'm waiting for mine to arrive. Thanks for sharing. My only recommendation would be to turn off that IBIS, that weird perspective warp that it creates.. it just looks worse than a little organic handheld shakiness which is kind of in vogue lately.

Haha, that I definitely should have. The issue here was having it on, while on a badly stabilized gimbal. Otherwise I've never had any issues with IBIS.

Just received the Meike 25mm which will be used on GH5s. It came with both metric and imperial scale. Lens feels very solid (this is my first cinema lens) I need a wider one also, but can't decide if I should get the 16mm or the 12mm.

Oh, that's interesting! I thought they were making them in bulk one focal length at a time, but that means they are still making new 25s. It seems the 16mm is the widest they are going to go, at least for the time being. Next ones are 35mm, 50mm and 85mm.

Did you do any post processing stabilization on this? There is all kinds of strange movement in the video that is extremely offputting to me and I saw it in another video as well... giving me a lot of concern about this lens. It's hard to describe, but here it's more apparent than usual. The first shot of the beer can almost looks like one of those faux-3D images you see on Facebook but even worse is the shot at 0:23. Look at the trees in the top middle of the frame and watch as they stretch and move and distort into all kinds of weird directions. That is not normal and I can't believe nobody else has spotted it. If you did some stabilization, that could explain it... but it's not good to use stabilization on a test where you're trying to show off properties of a lens. Would love to hear what the cause of that is. Thanks.

Dalton Randall nobody else noticed it because it’s a non issue. What are you even talking about? I studied that section of the video and even still framed and saw nothing out of the ordinary.

He obviously used post-processing stabilization. This kind of artefact happens a lot when inserting Premiere Pro Stabilization, for instance. And no, you're not crazy. Sometimes it takes trained eyes.

Do you have the V-Log upgrade? I find it really hard to judge color with CineLike. I have a set of three Veydras and I want to figure out, if I’ll be able to expand that, once the Meike 35mm is out. I’m not going to get rid of my Veydras tho, because I need to put them through a lot, and I don’t think the Meikes can take the abuse. Also V-Log is a no brainer if you have DaVinci. Try V-Log footage in Aces color space. You‘re welcome.

I don't, no. I've held off until I get a color accurate monitor. I don't trust much of what I see on my current shitty one, so I keep my grading to a minimum and just correct a bit trusting the scopes. Matching with the Veydras shouldn't be an issue, these are made with the same lens formula.
