As a LoG fan of nearly 20 years, I was pretty skeptical about anyone replacing Chris but this guy can fucking play, and the new album is really growing on me. I think he’s exactly what they needed at this point in their career
Chris sounded flat in VII. Seems the tensions were already growing, check Mark Morton's rank of all LOG albums, and he mentions this about VII, and why he thinks it's the worst LOG album.
There still a band that hasn't sold out yet be thankful for that and u guys are right about this guy he's filling good enough but Chris Adler will always be better to me seeing him and Joey jordison play together was the best my 2 favorite drummers back in 2015, ashes of the wake awesome show
Same here, I was really bummed when Chris left and was really wondering if I’d like the new guy. I’m completely impressed with Art Cruz and the new (and I think better) style groove to Lamb of God’s sound. I’ve been listening to the new album over and over, and it just keeps getting better.
He’s nothing compared to Adler.. He just follows the guitarist.. Doesn’t use unique fills like Chris did.. Also his kicks are nothing compared to Chris… Not saying he isn’t good but it’s hard to follow an innovator

Art is such a powerhouse. Favorite song on the album. From his Winds of plague days to now with Lamb of God he keeps leveling up the drumming. LOG live shows with art are HEAVY. SLAY KING 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
I remember seeing Art play for the first time during the Slayer tour before Chris officially made his exit. I was blown away by Art's performance, the guy just has so much power in his playing. I'm glad LoG has him now :)
I feel like Art rejuvenated Lamb of God and has taken them to an even higher level of metal. I love his passion, enthusiasm, rhythm, and soul he has brought to them. Can’t wait to see more from El jefe Cruz.
Art is an absolute animal. some of the speed and precision he has added to LOG is wild. Although, I am still a huge Adler fan, glad the band is still putting out songs like this!
Art Cruz is proudly waving the flag that Chris Adler gave him. The energy from the pedals, drumsticks, and cymbals will keep fueling our headbanging. Long live L.O.G.
How not. It's completely normal to compare new vs old drummer. It's fine if people prefer one over the other. And they can say Adler was better if they feel that way.
I said it when Art first played with them and I’ll say it today. Had I not known they had acquired a new drummer, Idk that I’d have known (not counting seeing live performances).
Art fuckin Cruz. Favorite Winds of Plague drummer & favorite L.O.G drummer. I love me some Chris Adler but it is time for the Art show 100% Keep it up, brother!
Art Cruz and Jay Weinberg had a bigger shoes to fill since Chris and Joey are one of the best behind the kit (and my idols too) but instead of filling them they created their own.
I'm happy for LoG that they finally have a drummer who attacks his kit. Chris was just to ballerina tippy tappy for me, Art demands his kit! Slay all day!🤘
