Respectfully, the essence of God’s love for and choice of Israel is to offer a paragon, Israel, from whom all others can learn that seeking God’s love and choice is possible even while travelling a different journey on a different path. Ultimately the Torah will declare this precept as “deracheha darchei no’am vechol netivoteha Shalom”. The issue will be does your journey and path have road signs that signify gentleness and peace and is that also your destination. Under those circumstances all persons and groups will share the same destiny of God’s love and choice. And for those who don’t care about God, that’s also fine provided their paths and journeys are otherwise compatible. Shana Tova Umetuka.
