Mr Roberts, Do us all a great favour; till the day you die, NEVER stop doing these interviews with the most interesting of people we'd otherwise never know existed: Now that I'm retired I'm catching up on my education and cannot thank you and your colleagues enough for these discussions.🖖Mick the Hick
I couldn't get past the "When I asked who was one humble European ruler, and we couldn't name one" I lost all pretense that this was a worthwhile dialogue. I came up with dozens of Popes, Saint-Kings, Statesmen, etc. Just an absurd admission of historical ignorance... Charles the I who was executed by Cromwell and his cronies was an utmost humble monarch and devout Christian and family man despite him being murdered in such a remarkably unjust way.
