The trolls haunt me everytime i hear In the Hall of the Mountain King. Its been almost 50 uears since i watched this over the air, but the King and Princess are just as terrifying as i remember. Now to inflict this on the next generation

In the original play by Henrik Ibsen, Perr Gynt is the bad guy. He meets the troll kinngs daughter beforehand and willingly promises to marry her so he can sleep with her, and he runs away in the morning. The trolls are right to be angry with him.

The little trolls almost haunt me as I see their eyes peeking out of the cave and it’s been like 2022 since I watched this but for the rest of the characters then peer and soul dig the trolls look kinda scary now I understand that I probably changing the subject

Like a lot of stories, this has been toned down to make it more child friendly; in the original story Peer escapes just in time as the cave collapses on the trolls.
