@@marcusmuntean I mean I feel like it aged well. As an active shuffler in the community, there is still quite a bit of drama and people getting “too deep in” where some of us are forgetting to have fun. But for the most part, there has been a revival in shuffling, especially post-pandemic (I started in July 2020). And there’s a young youthful vibrancy in the community now, but with that is some immature people ruining the fun and forgetting PLUR. Interestingly, you don’t see the word thrown around a lot by ravers anymore. The dance has evolved and a lot of people don’t do Hardstyle or phatties anymore so I’m glad to say that I am still keeping it alive in my communities by bringing my phatties to shows/meetups!! Hardstyle will never die 😤🤘🏻

And there is a lot of fakeness on social media when it comes to the dance. Some people doing it for the views or to show off some body, but it’s ironic because that’s what’s popular and gets some genuinely good people into the dance. Nothing is perfect and this is just how it is, so I just remember that I’m only this because of the music and how my body feels when I dance. Nothing else matters

Glad to say that in 2023 Hardstyle is not dead and I wear my phatties to shows/shuffle meetups still 🙌🏻 and I always request Hardstyle to be played. It will never die 😤 I fucking love it
