Honestly Bombers should have won this. It’s unusual for me to blame the umpires but they did a terrible job and it’s tough when a team is being favoured. Melbourne had a good and deserve the win but Essendon should have won by 1-15 points at least

Happy with our defensive effort this week as a bombers fan. Would’ve won if our ball use inside 50 was better.

Slowly the top teams are starting to loose momentum. The Dees are struggling against out of the eight sides and the Dogs have started to lack kicking efficiency when it comes to goal kicking and general disposals. Neither of them will be the premiers looking at it right now. After this round performance the Cats aren’t certainties either. However Geelong have an experienced list who know how to play finals, they’ve done it multiple times and the only improvement for the Cats is the flag. A normal supporter would say the Dees or the Lions just by the way they play but when it comes to September it all comes down to the teams that know how to play finals. So the Cats or I still don’t want to rule out Richmond. So Cats or the Tigers

Some questionable decisions in this one, but I never really expected to win this one anyway. Wins over Adelaide North GWS Sydney Gold Coast and Collingwood will still see us to 12-10, I think we can do it. We played well against the top team regardless of the result

Great stuff Essendon, they put in a real good fight. Melbourne obviously won, I mean, it's Melbourne. Still can't believe that MELBOURNE are now the team to beat...I knew in 2018 they would be up there soon but...damn I wasn't prepared for all the teams to get Melbourned.

What did the bombers have to do to win a free? Any chance the umpires could of payed some towards Essendon? The umpiring in this game was disgraceful. They didn’t pay countless free kicks for Essendon, and Melbourne were getting frees from questionable to incorrect decisions. That’s right, Melbourne are doing well so they’ve become a protected species. The AFL, and the umpires association should be ashamed.
