Melcher & Co. - formerly known as Tschojer Quality Steel - is a manufacturer of sheet metal furniture mainly for public swimming pools, hospitals, nursing homes and schools, although in recent years it has also increasingly opened up to the subcontractor market.
Their product portfolio has increased to such an extent that the automation of manufacturing was simply no longer an option. And just like 22 years earlier, Melcher & Co opted for a Salvagnini stand-alone P4 panel bender in configuration with HPT the automatic loading and unloading device.
Thanks to the new P4 panel bender this Austrian company has been able to:
- increase productivity by 18%
- reduce energy consumption by 80%
- manufacture a greater variety of parts thanks to the numerous options available
