This album is a pure masterpiece, i bought it twice cause i lost the first. The best album of Melechesh, the drum part made by Proscriptor is fantastic and the eastern folkloric influences are equivalent to the metal parts.

Thanks for the upload BMP! Been some years listening to this masterpiece. Top notch guitar work, with Absu's Sir Proscriptor McGovern on the drums. Distinctive oriental sound and concept makes it an unique band. This is my favorite release by them.

Not sure how this is my first time ever hitting play on anything Melechesh ever put out. And even having just heard their name very rarely, I did see the name as a band I thought I would maybe check out at some point.... Well I haven't been this poeasetoy surprised since.... Damn ... I don't think ever. Kinda like when I first heard Portal of I by Ne Obliviscaris.... Only combining that awe inspiring first listen with the appreciation that can only come after years and 100 more listens bring. This, whatever u want to call this sound. Is exactly what my tastes for metal have been wanting to experience . I like black metal, has become my favorite in the past year or 2... But this isn't ur typical black metal. It's like heavy metal meets thrash/ power metal.... Llike high speed stoner or sludge metal. But combined with the singing..... Not death growls, not quite black metal shrieks..... More like a goblin trying to sing in a thrash style coming out high pitched.... In others words the black sheep of everything else at the time... So they throw it in the black metal genre. Either way this fuckin rocks!! I'm having a hard time comparing it to my current favorite bands cuz I just want to hear more of Melechesh. Coming from more a fan of melodic death and progressive death. But the proof speaks for itself. Haven't stopped head banging since I hit play..... Well guess I ain't sleeping tonight..?? Sign of a top record for me is a lack of 'average' tracks, not one bad one amongst this lot. Definate purchase for me, and I know where to buy it!
