New to LE. Used your first video as a template as I liked Gathering Storm. I’ve since taken all the convert to frost choices. This is making everything freeze or chill super consistently.

I opted to go for leap with the storm nodes instead of speccing maelstrom. I also focused more on totem damage in passive and skill nodes. I have totems casting faster to make up for my lack of spell damage. I only prefer this because it helps my mana and makes the build a little less sweaty. It seems to be working well because I still have plenty of crit for my spells and melee attacks.

If you remove two points from your gathering of storm, it will solve your mana problems. Dont put points on two-eyed storm and excited bolts, instead use it on windfury blows for ASPD.

I came up with something similar but I'm using as DOT both maelstrom and tornado with eye of the storm so it follows you and charged storm so that it also shoots storm bolts, and also Fury Leap for mobility it also has nodes that buff both global and spell dmg and storm bolt, and lastly it has one that makes you immune while using it so it's like having the Diablo 4 dodge.

I am trying something similar ish. Cold damage with thorn & storm totem. Plus birds and hurricane. Speccing for elemental damage for minions. Having cold and lightning is hard. But it's easy somewhat as the minions don't scale with your own boosts as far as I am aware. So I focus on cold damage for myself as Hurricane and Gathering scale from it. Combo basically being Storm totem down, let birds buff it, cast hurricane on the totem. aminions group to it then thron totem and then jump on them with bird skill. tap with gathering for the 55% minion damage bonus then kite and hit agani.

Hey! Mana will always be an issue for most shamans -you should really drop excited bolts and energized through the skies until you can sustain better. Put the points into looming clouds and cencentrated storm. I would also get rid of storm totems as a skill, and insert earthquake! It will massively spike your damage! You can get passive summoning of storm totems from the idols, same with thorn totems :) Furthermore, you should skip all damage mods on thorn totem skill tree, as they do nothing for you there. Pick up memories of eterra and totemic wisdom! They will massively help your mana! Also when doing runs, skip normal mobs and just jump to elite mobs and bosses. You can remove mealstrom from your skillbar, and get mobility unskilled there(fury leap), mealstrom will still work!

Can we get a loot filter by chance?

Hey ty for your guide. Have you thought about using Eye of Storms? It seems pretty good to get tons of stacks of Maelstrom + lightning damages.

I m loving the gameplay fo this build but having trouble surviving doing lvl 35 stuff. Any tips? Didn't really focus on gear yet

Thanks for build, I started switching to it from homebrewed earthquake build at around 45 lvl and while its harder to stay alive, when Maelstroms stacks procs it melts everything around. I think only forgeguard has less builds around them shaman.

how are you casting the thorn totem?

Any chance to get your filter for this build?

I started to experiment with Gathering Storm and figured, still not as good as it should or not sure what items would work with that.. so back to Totem build until I find some good items.. I wish if this would be a bit better :D
