as a luigi main, this is how i will always see luigi. even if its not in melee and some other mario game, it will always make me think of him like this.
Yo this tas made me actually think about Luigi's dash dance, Luigi has a really weird property in that his initial dash is the same as his run speed, he starts at full speed. This is a pretty good property it makes his dash dance pretty easy to use imo and it actually has pretty good range, a little longer than sheiks I think. Plus the Uber long wavedash makes me feel like Luigi could mix both of those movement options well. I don't see most weejs use his dash dance often
i think this video proves that luigi could most certainly be viable, he just has to be developed a lot more and it’s frustrating that people don’t really care to develop luigi because mid tier. (though i’m not one my self) more luigi mains please he has great potential. (even if he is argued to be viable)
The best luigi at the moment is definitely eddy mexico but i don't think he's really pushing the character but rather carrying with fundamentals and hard reads. if you want to see the players developing him though, check out Mad Tyro and Jah Ridin'. They have a lot of potential.
Nah what does luigi actually approach with? For example against sheik? He has good stuff but he can't be aggressive in some matchups or he'll lose straight away.
@@timoijas5316 sheik is (in my option) Luigi’s best top tier matchup. they both edge guard each other really hard. in neutral a lot of it comes down playing around her shield with f tilt which is an amazing move. not to mention he has a better combo game on her early on than she does Luigi.
On fast fallers, it's a fairly easy combo. At around 100% you can hit a fast faller with a late nair which will send them just slightly up, then L cancel the landing, jump and Up B. Not sure if it works on other character types, but its not too difficult on fast fallers
I have a tutorial that kinda shows it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9TdgQeDO6dM.html But usually, you have an emulator record inputs, you play the game in slow motion or 1 frame at a time, and you try sections over and over until you get it the way you want.
I just did side b, and if it didn’t work I waited another frame before trying it. So really it’s just luck but you keep trying on different frames until you get a favorable outcome.
Tas can honestly make any character look viable. Also have to keep in mind that the cpu isn’t DI-ing (not that it would matter against a tas) but something a real person would have to deal with making combos infinitely harder.
What happens when you try to do em? My recommendation is to just do a TON of wavedashes in practice, and I mean a lot. That being said, here's a troubleshooting guide on what causes each of these Rolling - hit the trigger too soon jumping - hit the trigger before Shielding during the wavedash - held the trigger too long
Nah, I believe it was found only a few months after the game's release. Was posted about in a Japanese forum and Sakurai himself responded to said post that he was aware of it
