If you look at 0:28 you'll see there are windows for the water to escape so if Shaun stands up the water won't reach his height and he'd be safe. The only person who can get drowned is the woman who is injured and can't move.

Here my theory: I think the kid who got stuck under the bar is going to die. Him dying is going to remind Dr Park about his son and how much time he doesn’t spend with him. He will end up leaving the residents and be with his son.

All I know is Melendez can’t die .. him and Claire belong together

He died like he's a bad person. No family came, Mr.Glass looks like doesn't care at all if he dies, his residence are not there mourning before he dies (only Claire) I mean, they didn't even make any justice on his death. They gave better death of some extra character patients than our favorite boss Dr. Melendez. I can't even watch the other seasons after this. They play him dirty

The PERFECT cliffhanger! So many loose ends, so many questions about ALL the characters! Can’t wait to see how it all pans out next week!

Killing of Melendez and then reuniting Leah and Shaun was probably the dumbest move for this episode. They made this whole sequence that made it seem like Shaun was getting over Leah, and it was finally past him. And it was all emotional and sweet, and though I do ship them, I was like, “Ok, you know what, maybe it’s just not meant to be.” And I was already kind of over her. And THEN they make her kiss him after their slow burn relationship is literally a pile of ash on the ground already and I’m just sitting there, thinking I should be happy, but I’m not happy. I feel numb. Like it was just too late for that to happen. And then it was to early for Melendez to die! I was actually excited for Neil and Claire and then they killed him! Oh my god.... and on top of that, the sudden music/mood changes and cheesy lines and the way Shaun kicked that cedar block in the last episode like styrofoam, I just.... The finale didn’t sit well for me, that’s what I’m saying.

This freaking show is killing me right now 🤪🤪

If he dies, I'm done with this show. You can't kill TWO people Claire loves in the SAME SEASON.

They built up the Lea and Shaun drama too much for Shawn to die. Melendez won't die, they still need to explore Dr. Brown relationship! Dr. Lim is going to get in the middle of them though. Morgan was hilarious with the whole "bitch" thing.

I know that for many this death was unnecessary, as it was a character who had a lot to offer, but think: wouldn't that be the message of the creators? Something like: "(In the case of Claire) say you love before time runs out"; or "just because it helps people doesn't mean that nothing bad is going to hurt you," or "nature takes precious things from us all of a sudden." He could have been more resourceful, just as people died prematurely in the real world.

I think no one will gonna die but I think Shawn's condition may be critical and then Lea will confess her love towards Shawn as title of promo is ' I love you'. But Dr Melendez will not gonna die as he collapsed due to bruise on his stomach. ( watch whole episode, you will get it )
