Freddie Highmore really does an amazing job as playing Shaun Murphy. The mannerisms, the talking, the refusal to make eye contact, he really does a great job of portraying a real man with autism. It really does make the show so much better and realistic, even if they didn’t use an actual autistic doctor.

I wish we'll get to see more of 2:54 from Shaun this season, not as a blooper but as a behaviour pattern. My cousin is autistic and he has these moments allot when he's stressed, not because he's a bad boy, or because he's agressive because HE'S NOT. In fact, he's one of the most gentle humans I've ever met but simply because HE WANTS TO GET THINGS DONE. At this moment, he can't see that maybe it hurts people, he can't see that it's not the best option for him, in his mind he knows he's right and to prove it-things would have to be done exactly the way he does them. So yeah, I really want to see moments like these more because it makes the character more real and so much more relatable (I mean, come on, how many times has this happened to us non autistic assholes? Honest).
