Recently, I had the good fortune of seeing and filming one of Dayton, Ohio's truly gifted artists, Melissa Young, seen here performing Janis Joplin's 'Turtle Blues' with her band, Miss Lissa and Company. Melissa is a tiny thing with a great big powerful voice, and she joins the ever growing list of outstanding female blues artists currently on the scene. Maybe the next thing we''ll see is the Queens of the Blues Tour.
