I bought this months ago, I have been using it frequently and it is an excellent tool. It outperformed corded glue guns I've used in the past. Even the included glue sticks are decent! There ya go!
I have also had this for months as well, it is my go to glue gun. I have built many cardboard forts for my kids with it, and it can push an entire stick without getting too cold.
@@Addly82 It probably has a large thermal mass. The tradeoff is they tend to take longer to heat up. But once hot, they retain the heat much longer. Less cycling of the battery.
Had this for over a year. Use it for electrical, especially truck/ trailer lights. You can glue the plug to the back of the light to water proof it and hold it in place. Cordless heat gun to soften it to remove it.
When I first read your thumbnail I thought it said milf hot glue gun I started laughing immediately at it. Then I realized what it actually says and started laughing at myself. 😂😂😂😂😂
Bro. I love that you are so well loved by the youtube community! 735k subs! Like HOLY MOLY lol and now getting sent free stuff. You know you made it. So happy for you man!
I still like their stuff. I wish sometimes they’d get back to the simple fun stuff they used to do. I like the epic builds but I miss the more relatable content.
Great video and review. You have to do more of these (if you get the products). I really enjoy the way you do REAL reviews. I'm a do all mechanic/fab/repair home garage guy and enjoy seeing reviews that make sense and not just some guy advertising for some company as a lot of the so called reviewers are these days. Keeping it real is nice to see. Mater of fact I just ordered one of the red ones seeing I don't have a battery powered gun - thanks for helping me spend my cash - lol . Keep it up buddy. Later
I have the Ryobi and it works very well. I also have two adapters to use DeWalt batteries with Ryobi tools so I never run out of juice for anything. This glue gun is probably the same as the Ryobi.
The blue/black has been great. Finally upgraded from the cheapest ever tiny glule gun we've had froever. It was so small the cord would constantly pull it over. Should have upgraded years ago.
I have one and love it! Infact, I have been kind of collecting 20v dewalt battery powered tools lately and have found many useful tools like portable vac, air blower, glur gun, caulking gun, air pump, etc. All within the Dewalt 20V battery system.
My mother is a school teacher and was in need of a battery powered glue gun for class projects. So instead of buying a more expensive one that might just get swiped by a punk kid i got her two harbor freight bauer glue guns. She uses them quite frequently. I know harbor freight has only a select set of tools that can actually be considered as quality tools. I will vouch for the glue gun, that thing works extremely well and the battery lasts longer than any project you will need a hot glue gun for. Good enough that i got one for myself.
I'm a fan of preventing dripping after use. My Ryobi gun is just ok at not dripping, but its big brother has a little fold out catch tray for drips, and is much better at stopping.
Dude! You should write a series of children's books on safety called, "There-ya-Go!" You do animated shorts on a subscription-based website and make a fortune. You've got the voice and the timing. I was a producer and editor in broadcast for a decade before the libs drove me crazy, but man, you got it! The merch alone could make you a fortune. There-ya-Go!
One of the most important test with generic power tools is to see if they included a low voltage cut off switch, AKA over discharge protection. A lot of cheap generic tools do not have this, and will run your battery down to absolute zero and destroy tour battery if you aren't constantly checking your voltage throughout the job.
@@FunkFPV That's good. I've tested some tools that were still trying to run at 5V. One of them based around Makita batteries was being offered as samples to distributers, prior to being rebadged as a major commercial grade landscaping brand. I advised the distributer not to stock that particular tool unless the issue was fixed due to the soon to be incoming flood of warranty claims.
I got a hot glue gun for a dollar and sticks for another dollar. You have to plug it into the wall but it works great. It's not the thickest bead but it gets the job
@@FunkFPV lol I dig it man. And I’m very interested in trying out the Mellif transfer stick pump similar to the one Milwaukee and Ryobi has. I’m a plumber and feel that that would make a handy tool to have for being able to pump out water in holes when digging to repair main water lines in the ground
Love these tools you find but hate that the price always shoots up after one of these videos. The soldering station you did recently is 69 now for the dewalt version but still 45 for the makita version.
The only concern I would have... They were very generous with the glue sticks. Hopefully, that's not an indication of some proprietary size; where only they sell the sticks that will fit it. Kind of ridiculous for me to care, actually. Ha! I rarely need hot glue. End up buying a new gun each time, having long ago lost my last one.
DeWALT should make one that comes up to temp while docked on a benchtop station then switches to battery once you take it off and it only needs to maintain the temp. Probably the only way I’d consider a battery hot glue gun since I don’t want to wear out expensive batteries on something like that.
Well, I just checked and it looks like Mellif also makes a DeWALT battery adapter for 120v. For that price I think I’ll just make my own out of an old battery shell and a switching PSU (maybe slower, but who cares?). I can make a tray on my workbench with something like that on one side and a charged battery on the other. If I disable the latch on the adapter then I can just grab it off the tray/dock and push it onto the battery and lift off the tray after it gets up to temp. I like this idea!
I have the Arrow 10mm glue gun - $19 - it's a 110v plugin at 300W and comes with a stand...that's VERY important. So unless you need battery-operation...it's cheaper + better.
Hey Funk, Cool man. I wasn't coming at you sideways at all. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Spelling it as "milf" will definitely get people's attention. Talk 2 u later bud. 😊😊
Okay I immediately bought one and subscribed. I bought the "Milwaukee" version since red is better. Thanks for the review, been using my wife's mini glue gun for years and hating it, this will come in handy when I occasionally need a hot glue gun.
Is the rubber sleeve on the glue barrel easily detatchable? I got a similarish glue gun, with the sleeve gone you gain about 1 inch so you can glue hard to reach areas a little easier?
