It doesn't matter what you do in life if you can't find happiness in the small things, no amount of money, luxuries, or career will make you happy. I am in my 30's and my life has been one big clusterf*** but I always find beautiful things to surround myself with whether it is music like this, reading books, or waking up and watching a sunrise every now and then. Life is not so bad and can be enjoyable with very little.
"Reminiscence" came up second and I just...closed my eyes. My sister and I never finished the game and to this day I don't know where the story went, but the music stuck with me
@@joonpak We had reasons! That was twenty years ago, the game would go missing, the PS2 died, I couldn't fight for shit, she couldn't make it past Miguel... I do plan to get the remake and try it again, maybe I'll get the hang of those stinking spells.

@@joonpak Oooh, I was assuming you played it. Miguel is a fiendishly hard boss and he keeps kicking her ass. There's so many excellent games that came out in the 20 years since you quit. (My favorite is the "Tales of" series.)
Ambient, classical, smooth jazz, but none of them calm me as much as JRPG music does. I blame FF9s sappy love story when I was 10yrs old. The music and text from ff9 put something in me that still lingers it seems.
JRPGs are dead. WRPGs took over. We may not have Final Fantasy VII's anymore, but we've got Witcher 3's. Thank God. Still, I will always miss the classics. Still so many feels.
@@dannyboi7877 That and the whole Kiseki Series are easily some of the best RPG's, nay, games I've ever played. There is something to be said about the olden days and the "golden age of RPG", but you just have to look and gems are still present nowadays, and they'll end up becoming the nostalgia of a whole new generation.

I wish i could say that... every song so is pure gold... But Chrono Cross definitely had a wild sound track, so different from all the other greats of its era.
These are the games that I grew up with and what motivated me to try and work at the game industry. I'm glad I grew up together with these masterpiece.
@@viranisco It sold well, and reviewed well. It wasn't underrated. It didn't hold the test of time for many reasons. The forgettable plot, outdated graphics, mostly generic soundtrack, and vanilla characters are definitely a factor.
Can I just say thank you for mixing the songs across the games up - as much as I love a game's soundtrack I don't want to listen to an entire game soundtrack before moving onto the next!
@@tommyzorera - Hah, not sure I quite agree with worst, but Chrono Cross is a game where I can't often stomach playing the whole OST, despite the highs being so damn high. Despite the many highs, some songs on the OST I just do not want to listen to.
As I finish my last requirement for my postgraduate degree, thank you for compiling these nostalgic tracks from my favorite RPGs. Approaching my 30th too, so I pretty much grew up playing these awesome games! Thanks again!

I went back to school after 10 years. This has been my go-to. So many amazing memories, almost makes me want to stop studying and playing all these games. I really wish they would start releasing these types of games again, they were just legendary
The best song for last. My favorite. But then again, Chrono Cross in my opinion had the most emotional/feeling soundtrack I've ever listened to from any video game. Hell, not even just amongst video games, in general. Yasunori Mitsuda really did the game justice. Great playlist. This is helping me breeze through studying for finals coming up next week. Love this, i play it for my son so he can relax and fall asleep easier and also every morning during breakfast. I hope he enjoys these games and music as much as i did.
I remember many songs from this playlist but the ones from Final Fantasy IX hit extremly hard, as it was my first very own Final Fantasy as a child I put so many hours in this with so less progress.
