Some pinoys are explaining it wrong so here goes.. Ez is basically talking about racism/discrimination. He never said that the name calling is okay. He said that in our country, we use the terms (negro/negra) loosely. That's why he was shocked at first when he got to the US, but he understands now (FYI: his stepdad, bro anji, younger sisters are black). He does not like the term (or name calling) too. He understands because he felt discriminated when he was called tisoy in the Philippines. Sad to say, colorism exists in our country too. That's why we call our darker skinned siblings names like "negro/negra/negs". We pass it off as a joke or even as a term of endearment but those words can be disciminating simply because we are pointing out what makes that person different from us. Ez did an awesome job in putting emphasis on topics that matter while giving us great music!

Dude there's nothing wrong being called negro in the Philippines I am called negro many times and its okay cause I'm proud of my skin. Those filipino's who are offended by getting called negro are insecure in their own skin.

On the last verse EZ said “thats why in FREEZE you notice a club ass dancing rhythm but take notice of what I was exposing and saying”. He was referring to his song FREEZE with cool ass vibe but you need to pay attention to the lyrics and the meaning of the song.

Thats close my dude but he says "shout out to the woo's" beforehand which explains everything. " This that rhythm and gangsta, BASHAR himself, envisioned when he was still with us". Pop Smoke's real name is Bashar Jackson. Also notice after his last bar in the 2nd verse the vocals sound very choppy when he's speaking "take notice man". Apparently he was still rapping but he took shots at the music industry. So the radio station or the powers that be edited it out. You can tell after having this knowledge. He was about to GO IN, but suddenly he's done rapping.

Here in Ph we used to call dark skinned people as "negro/negra" and fair-skinned as "tisoy/tisay" like EZ. So he's just saying that its not an issue at all because it's just a descriptive word unlike in USA the N-word is insulting when non-AA spits the word.
