The Chopin competition is held every 5 year. There are videos of the past competitors which may be good to watch. There is also Tchaikovsky competition which is every 4 years. I'm used to hearing this with orchestra....

I liked Hyuk Lee who performed just before this Liu guy at every stage till final more than any one else. This Liu guy was a student of one of the jury member in that competition at the time.

I love Bruce's interpretation but the interpretation that made me fall in love with the piece were Kate Liu's and Eric Lu's performances in the same competition in 2015. Kate's Andante +Eric's Grande Polonaise = BEST Op. 22.

@@Xantares2003 Opus 35 or 58?Because if it's Opus 35, It has to be Yulliana Avdeeva's interpretation that is the best.

He did win! He’s incredible and has had a really amazing career since the competition. His Chopin interpretations are really becoming the ones to listen to.

Yes friend, it's every five years, but you don't have to wait that long, the best competition was in 2010 in my opinion, there's a lot of good stuff to watch that's recorded.

Both Seong and Bruce are by far my top favorite Chopin interpreters. I remember being so tired setting my alarms for 3am since that was the only time I could watch the competition but It was so worth it haha @@leonardodelyrarodrigues3752
