I use this as a lullaby to both my kids. Hope they can remember it even when they are older. It's such a beautiful and meaningful song. It's hard to finish singing it without crying.

FF series taught me that if you really try to be a protector of light , the light will always follow you.. it seems cliché but as we grow up it seems less and less people are reminding themselves of the importance of this fight against darkness, terror, war.. thanks for all the beautiful lessons 💕

Seeing some people's comments here, about this song reminding them about a happy childhood, weddings, relationships...I can't really relate. For me, it's about the "life" part. See...I'm a survivor of extreme trauma--harrowing experiences that most people can't really comprehend, and wouldn't be able to survive. What's more, I was born into trauma, so I've never really known peace, comfort, happiness, and so on. I didn't learn about family, friendship, love, or things like that either because they were never a part of my development, and I honestly didn't really have a "childhood" to begin with. That was my normal for the first 25 years of my life. The only reason I'm alive now is because nature stepped in and intervened where humanity failed me. As in, I decided to camp out in the forest alone back in early 2015 and...basically got a spanking from Mother Nature for my overconfidence. At the time I didn't realize it, but because I had no actual growth before then, that experience was more than just life-changing--I got a second chance at life, in the most literal and realistic way (although even then some people think I'm trying to make stuff up). Not gonna lie, I'm never going to be able to connect with humans normally after everything that's happened--it was a painful thing for me to realize, and I'm still trying to come to terms with it. That's just how things played out for me--or rather, the garbage hand humanity dealt me from the start. So at this point, I'm just trying to figure out how to build bridges with humans, as someone who's of the same species, but...doesn't quite live in the same world as the rest of you. Or most of you, at least. Because, as easy as it would be to stoop to acts of terrorism and vengeance against humanity, that's the wrong path to take and I've fought hard to rise above all the corruption that drove authorities, family members, doctors, and other such figures to treat me like something to be used for their own benefit and then leave me to fend for myself. Better to take that poison and turn it into medicine--and I think the world kinda needs it right about now. I think I can speak better than most about how precious a thing life is. There's no sense in wasting one's life trying to get back at others and perpetuate cycles of abuse and suffering, or destroy everything like Kuja tried to. But at the same time, there's no sense is just accepting a worthless hand of cards, when you can discard it in favor of creating your own (and that said, there's no reason to not go for a straight royal flush, yeah?). FFIX spoke to me on a personal level, really. Lots of reminders about what's truly important.

Love this song, and all the memories it bring.. IMO, FF9 is one of the greatest game in game history.
