Memories and feelings come rushing back at the sound of this song. This is a true masterpiece, as was the game. Certainly one of the best RPGs ever made. And one of the most underrated too. If its rated 10, it should be rated 100000!
FF 7, FF 8, FF9, FFX ,FFx2 BEST GAME I EVER PLAYED.. BEST TIME OF MY YOUTH.. BEST MEMORIES I EVER HAD.. NOW I PLAYING FFX13 (YES ITS LATE.. KNOWING THAT NOW I'M 40 AND NOT MANY FREE TIME FOR PLAYING GAMES..) BUT STILL HUNDREDS OF GAME I'M FINISHED.. NOT MANY TO REMEMBER BUT THIS GAMES.. FF SERIES DEFINITELY I'LL REMEMBER ALWAYS..
Mark Le Chrono Trigger was an amazing game. If they they could make a sequel with the same characters, different storyline, great music, and modern CGI now, I wonder how many people would buy it. Story building seems like a big complication for game designers nowadays though. They're all so dull
Mark Le yeah that's definitely true, guess each generation reflects on its time. We're in a period where people are so isolated and robotic. Back then, times were different, it was all about freedom and expressing the self and the common good. Life is too set out now, so no ideas left.
I tell my friends this is the best final fantasy, from town-exploration, to the battle system, to the comedic writing and scenarios, even the way the game does "Active Story" moments with different characters' encounters. It's not been done before this and it's rarely seen today. However, I come across people often who've never played it. Crazy!! It's amazing!!
This enough to make grown man to cry, daaamn i can hold my tears, remembering every obstacles they must overcome, dagger from princess to be a queen, she must lost her two mothers, watching a kingdom being sucked by a giant monster, then zidane from no one became someone, meet with his brother, betrayed but manage to help him at the end, good ending, its all start of kidnapping a princess, ordered by her own uncle to save her the mad queen, her own step mother (was it), thats where zidane meet with dagger. ffvii, ffvii and ffix, they are all good memories. I am crying right now
I love this game and this is one of my favorite songs of all time, which brings to my mind memorable memories and emotions. For me FFIX is not just a game, it is a piece of art, a collection of emotions and feelings that will always remain in my heart.
So...... "you never forget your first." Is that what you're trying to say? Cause I totally forgot FF2 on NES. Like.... I don't even remember anything about it.... like.... oh god.... NO!!!! NO!!!!! DON'T GO INTO THAT ROOM JOHNNY! THERE ARE NO TREASURES THERE, JUST MORE MONSTERS! MORE ****ING MONSTERS!
@@ulengrau6357 haha that's just you. i just love breath of fire and i still do. i remember only a little of it , true. but i can assure you i can still remember the treasures and quests if i play it once more. been more than 20 years. my first ff is ff IV.. though i like newer versions like vii more of course. don't really remember that one.
@@kzero9714 You obviously missed my sarcasm, despite having three whole years to think about it! Or maybe you didn't read my whole comment. Anyway, I obviously meant to say that I remember *exactly* what playing FF2 was like.
My first JRPG was Legend of Dragoon. My close friend played FF 7/8/9 but I was not interested at that time. I bought LoD and fell in love. Played many jrpg but only completed a handful.
The ending was epic! A commoner and a Queen hugging in front of a nation. The rest of the commoners who didn't know the story must be going like "WTF?! Who's the guy with a tail hugging our Queen?!" Lol
Royalty and plebeians falling in love with each other against all the odds is the meat and potato of any fairy tale, and when it's done right you got a perfect story.
@@diegorivas1991 Except that in the context of this game, they do not make it out alive. The main character dies. Hence the title of the song and the impact it has.
damn. i remember first hearing this song completely changed who i am. it was the MOST beautiful song i ever heard and even 'til this day, its my favorite song. FF9 is so underrated. its my favorite game of all time along with FF8.
duhmzdaih underrated as in no one talks about it, all i hear is FINAL FANTASY 7 FINAL FANTASY 7 FINAL FANTASY 7 when it had probably the worst animation then any other FF games.
I could replay FFIX and FF Tactics over and over forever and still neither would get old! They are the best and most memorable RPG's i've ever played, with FFIX being my favorite. (All these years later though and the dozens of replays I've done, I still can't beat that dangit jump rope!)
my 2 favorites too! and the FFXI online one will also be one of my favorites. it has a very very good storyline and if you ever have the time i recommend trying it.
I always knew I was emotional, but I never expected to cry hearing a song. But i guess I did. Not only because it's beautiful, but the lyrics are so heartbreaking... it captures the time Dagger and Zidane thought they lost each other. I'm really glad this was the first song I cried to. It definately is perfect. Call me a wuss or a crybaby, and I won't care. I'll be too busy listening to this song
I beat this game every year and just finished it today :D I cry every time because you feel like you accomplished the journey with them This song sums up the entire game
Hearing the music just gives me goosebumps, i wish i could turn the wheels of time backwards to when i played this game. a time where i didn't have to pay bills or having to work. I was only fourteen when this game came out and i loved every single bit of it. IX was the best final fantasy to come out.
i used to like final fantasy 7 best, but as i've grown up, i think i like ff9 the best. It has comedy, love, sorrow, everything. Such a complete rpg game
in my opinion, ffix has the right interpretation of a fantasy. just look at its characters and world. and this lovely song keep us attached to the game and its storyline. great game :)
Best FF song (FF8 Eyes on me was close)...remembering recording this song from game via my soundcard when i was little kit...so nostalgic memories...also this is so much better in japp!
omg I remember when I beat ff9, and then this song. that was a prank on myself. I cried so bad because I loved the story so much, this song will always have a special place in my heart
/SOB... i remember there was a time when i had nothing to worry about and only needed to go school and fool around happily and go home and play games and the only worry i had was what i would get from my parents in my birthday...... k let me go to the bathroom real quick to wash my face.
Coming back to this game reminded me on how much i fell in love with RPGs and Theatre play It's honestly life changing and personally FFIX is way better than VII
Yes, this game is also the ultimate proof that you can feel just as much for video game characters as for characters in any other medium. I would say that this is the FF game with the biggest heart, you really do feel something personal for pretty much everyone in this game.
That's not surprising. FFX was way better than FFXIII. I would definintly love to see full graphical remakes of some of the older Final Fantasy games; so long as they don't make significant changes to the gameplay they would be good. VI and IX would definitely be the ones that I would want to see the most.
