Youth has little to do with it. I was late 20s but hadn't had many relationships and there were little things but I never thought-cheating and certainly not a psychological impairment. I've been stunned but grateful to know. The issue w Mel is like they say sometimes when you are exposed to that for so long you can take on the characteristics and become it as well. I hope she fully heals bc I sympathize with her but she's also become somewhat narcissistic herself (from what we see on TV).

Many people have a distain for Melody due to her exposing certain things that we was taught as kids to keep in the household. Martell represent the type of man that our community justify his bad behavior. Just because he is active in his kids life he gets a pass to play victim. Mel covered for him and he was treated like her fifth child. Mel is a smart , beautiful woman which is a threat in today's society.

You would be surprised to know that this story line is helping alot of people. It's an eye opener. I learn something new every single time

I was initially so interested and excited about Błack couples/ families literally building these communities and doing serious, multimillion dollar business in this country. - especially in the US South where doors haven’t traditionally been open for it - but it’s come down to this and I haven’t watched in years.

The current shows on TV are 85-90% reality or crime based, which leaves nothing worthwhile to watch. It's sad because that's what the youth are watching and imitating as real life.

Melody did use to act out in the beginning when she was hurt. But she is now trying to move past that stage so they can co-parent effectively. She has tried to get therapy for her and Martell but he refuses. He wants to hurt her through the kids because he feels she has ruined him. I see both sides in the situation.

Both of them down each other in front of the cameras. Also, the warent was old right, but in the scene she got hired security to watch her house. That's called putting on for the cameras. She should of been had security if things was so bad not just for the filming.

Mel had to save face and exit this toxic relationship, but she dealt with the side chick & Martell’s BS nonsense for years before officially filing for divorce! So yes, I believe she would still be with him today if Martell & side chick didn’t have that baby. The first season she talked about “respectable cheating” , which meant that the expectation was for Martell to hide his mistress & not bring their relationship to the public eye! I'm glad it's documented at this point because Martel is doing things behind the scenes to hurt her. Carlos keep making her talk about this because they keep airing Martel talking badly about her . She flims her business and life, but they don't air that. On Carlos's podcast, Melody talked about alot of the things he put her through, still on and off the show. But the only thing he aired was a se.. commitment about a hook and a curve from that conversation. They want her to only have him to talk about.
