Melodyne plugin is fascinating audio software to tune your vocals (with more options and far more natural than Autotune), improve your timing, reshape your melodies and more. A brilliant tool and a real must-have!
You must copy your original vocals to a new track in your host. Then insert Melodyne plugin in the new track and move the blobs as usual. If you need another harmony voice, you need another copy of the lead vox.
Well, this is a plug-in. It works like any other FX plug-in: you can leave it in the inserts of your host or you can bounce/mixdown the track (including all plug-ins) to a new track and remove Melodyne plugin after that.
Don't know about Soundforge, but Reason does not support any third party plug-ins. So Melodyne plugin (which you see in the video) would not help you much. However, Celemony also have Melodyne editions that support ReWire, so you can conveniently link Melodyne and Reason. Check out their homepge for more.
When you're happy with what you've done within the Melodyne plug in, is there a simple way to export through Melodyne, rather than placing the pattern in the sequencing software with the Melodyne effect on and exporting that?
