Melting Copper pipes and casting a solid copper Hammer

In this video I melt down clean copper pipes and pour a solid copper hammer for another RU-vidr: R3DN3CK STACKER (now: BigRed Bullion). He sent me a 999 fine silver mini Stormbreaker axe that he poured himself.
I promised him to cast him a solid copper bench hammer, and now it is finally done!

If you pre-heat the copper pieces with a torch before you add to them to the crucible, they won't solidify the molten copper as much.

They help a lot and don't leave big marks, I also used them for lost foam casting. There is no need for big vents at all 👍👊

Pure copper is not very strong, that is why bronzes were made. This hammer is just a display item I made for a friend I met on youtube. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍👊

Once I get the hang of 3D modeling software I can print some patterns and I will definitely cast a few versions of my logo, maybe even use the video footage to make a channel intro.... we shall see. 👍👊
