Demolition derby drivers can "renew" their engines once the engine is completely toast. Just melt down the engine block into molten metal, and then pour the metal into a cast to reforge the engine block back into it's original shape! POW! You've got a brand-new engine! Wash, rinse, repeat, ad infinitum!

Great recycling. 👍 Looking forward to the castings already. Do you mix cast engine block aluminum with other extrusion / pop can aluminum? I notice the cast aluminum doesn't shrink near as much. Great muffin tin end of service 7:16. 🖑

Who knew you could make an engine block out of Al? I'd have thought it would get too hot. Also, what are you using for a crucible? A steel bucket? Bit dodgy, isn't it? I mean, I know it's steel, but it's pretty thin...
