this is my first time seeing it and was impressed by the anime part of it, then the 16 bit game play happened. It's was like enjoying moving at mach 2 just to suddenly slam face first into a brick wall and your face scraped back and forth. Like why couldnt they make it all look like the anime part. that would have been cool.

+Vilijam Al Abbasi yes but even if there is a viable alternative, it will drive away people who don't know or are not willing to take that extra step. We want the accessibility of the game to be as easy as possible so the community will grow more naturally. I will still play as long as there are opponents, but Im tired as a TM fan of needing to find a work around to play their games T^T

+ketuekigami Well you just predicted it's success didn't you. The fact is fighting games are niche and melty only makes it more niche. It will be a week of bodying scrubs and thats it.

If you say that fighting games are niche, then all multiplayer games are "niche". In order for any shooter or Moba or CCG to last it needs a particular audience. The only difference is that fighters have a smaller audience. And even in the realm of all video games, Street Fighter and Smash are far from obscure. Where I stand DOTA is more obscure than SF or Smash. EVO isnt as big as it is because fighters have a smaller audience. And MB has been a side event at every EVO, the issue is if it will get a chance to make the main stage.

+ketuekigami I dunno.. As much as I love playing the game, I get the feeling it just won't make it to the big stage. The way the game plays is certainly unique and some of the technical moves give it a HUGE amount of room for competitive play.. But I feel like its been out long enough that whoever wanted to get into the game has either gotten their hands on it already or forgotten about it. Maybe if this eventually gets a digital release on the newer consoles (It's Arc-System Works publishing, I have faith it could happen), we'll see more popularity and ultimately more players. But until then, this truly will be one of those niche fighting games that is more of a cult classic than an EVO Main Event. Now, if we could get a sequel, maybe with other TM characters, where it can reach out both to old players and also newcomers since it can be a learning case for everybody who plays, then there's even more potential for it to become one of the Big Fighting games, since there won't already be a playerbase that's been established for 5 years just consistently bopping on new players.

Actually, the recent Under Night In Birth EXE Late (ps3) had Sion as a cameo character which they brought from Melty Blood HD. There is a good chance of a sequel appearing sooner or later!

But it's tradition at this point.

I think an Arc System Works X Type Moon would be perfect since we would have a Blazblue and Guilty Gear with other series like Under Night in Birth X Melty Blood and Fate series with other series like World Conquest Zvezda Plot

​@@platinummad4701tight gameplay, a huge amount of content and extensive lore it's just an all around great game with great fighting mechanics that is played to this day even though a sequel came out, that's how good it is

I understand, this statement for UNIEL holds a bit the same way. That being said, it still is on the PSN. Maybe because the functioning is different, but still, no need to be pessimistic when Arksys knows a big raise in its popularity (and maybe when some other concurrents fail to seduce like for SFV :p)
