hands down, this quiet the retrospective i cant imagine how much time and effort was made by making this, keep it up bro! and also arcueid bernestud has the most funnest move set i have ever played in any fighting game
Fun Fact: Tsukihime wasn't the first Visual Novel to be turned into a Fightint Game by Watanabe Productions (or now known as French Bread). ToHeart is one of my favourite Visual Novels and Watanabe Productions turned the series into a fighting game in the form of "The Queen of Hearts". I am probably one of the few people hoping for a Queen of Hearts '99 remake even though there is no chance of happening...
I never thought I’d find someone else who knew about queen of hearts. I plan to talk about it one day for a video on French bread I’m working on. They’ve got an interesting history and it seems most only know about melty or under night. A remake would be pretty cool, if it’d ever happened.
I find it hilarious that Ecole went from making one of the most infamous kusoge of all time with Death Crimson to publishing cult-classic fighting games.
Great retrospective in this series man. Im a huge type moon Nerd and play fighting games a lot, but I just never was able to try melty blood much for various reasons. Thanks for showing the full history of it!
I finally got around to reading tsukihime after it being on my VN backlog for years. Tsukihime was amazing and it made me an instant type moon fan. Now that the retrospective is done I can get back to reading the other type moon works. I’m glad you enjoyed the video I enjoyed making it thanks for watching.
@@Drzuul if you missed it I also recommend the tsukihime manga if you have time. Really great adaption and expands the main heroines route in great ways, nasu even saying it was the main inspiration for the remake
MrInuhanyou123 I’m a decent way through the manga actually. The Ceil Akiha fight caught me off gaurd but it was a pleasant surprise. I know some elements of the manga made into the remake’s Arc route.
MrInuhanyou123 I have fate stay/night installed but I need to get through plus disc and kagetsu Tohya. I’m really interested in reading it though because I’ve heard it’s really good and I kind of have to now since it’s type moon’s most popular series by far.
I was set on playing MBTL as soon as I saw how neato Miyako looked and this has been my first real fighter ever since. The arcade was lame as most fight games', so I searched your video for lore. Turns out the series made a lot of strives, much bigger than TL! I wish they'd at least kept Reduce, that seems like it wouldn't affect ease of use at all with how optional it is. I also made sure to see your other Melty videos after this, thanks for your time and effort!
Thanks I really appreciate it. Reduce is an interesting mechanic and I hope they bring it back eventually. If you really like melty I highly recommend reading the original Tsukihime as it adds a lot of context to the characters and world but it’s also just a enjoyable story IMO. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching I make videos for fun but getting comments like these and knowing people enjoy them is a nice bonus.
SHIKI is my number one requested character Hopefully he’ll get his shot in Lumina he has a very interesting skill set that’d transfer well to a fighting game.
