@noctlucis843 yes, he did screw it. Although I heard Rui did intended to make Dantes ages around Shinji and Emiya, maybe a little bit older, but his art style just different so it's looks like adult if compared to Takeuchi's art style. But I don't know the truth. and I still agree that Takeuchi messed up his design, it's just not menacing enough for me.
@noctlucis843 it's audio drama, and yes, Dantes should be adult there, but that's living Dantes, not Avenger Dantes, Avanger share different form with Living Dantes since he's not fully Dantes, He's just Dantes's hatred incarnated. The only example I can think of is like Living Gilgamesh in Babylonia Singularity and Archer Gilgamesh that represent his Arrogance. They might look similar but they take their form from different timeline in their life. There's also Karl der Groiβ & Charlemagne, Carmilla & Elizabeth, Old Moriarty & Young Moriarty. That being said, I don't know if Avenger is the same age as living Dantes in audio drama or not.
@@setsunakiritsune1297 Avenger Dantes is the hatred discarded by the real Dantes after fulfulling his quest for revenge in Paris, so he should be older than the one in the Audio Drama.
@@IppoX90 Similar to Karna. He may looks scary & intimidating, but on the inside he's a big softie. Jeanne even compared him to a saint due to his kindness.
It's so damn amusing how Roa; once again, does not realize how fucked he is. You gotta imagine Arcueid's interaction with the man that permanently killed Roa for her. Trying to kill him for over 500 years? Give the man 5 minutes.
@@Raximus3000He killed Roa when he was still a living human being, not a servant. He didn’t have servant BS at the time and still killed Roa permanently.
@@phantasticgooseHe didn't have servant BS but the explanation given is frankly just hard to take seriously. Feels like Nasu just rolled the dice on what servant he would have kill Roa and had to come up with an explanation later.
@@phantasticgooseHe quite literally had the perfect mystic code and magic to delete him for good forced into him and "knew" what to do, if that's not bs I don't know what is.
@@neoterumi4772 Probably the reason why Fujimaru doesn’t go insane with so many servants he contracted Imagine having to deal with the servants’ nightmare every day
@@snailthelostcow63 he’s the one who cleans up his masters dreams and keeps it tidy and organized while letting the necessary dreams go in when its time I suppose.
@@snailthelostcow63 Technically life memories and it can depend on how potentially daily or even full rememberable said dreams are. Funnily enough there was a Chapter in the FGO Anthology Manga that has Ritsuka dream about his Servants moments in their original life. On that note Merlin and I believe Abigail also help out on dream guard duty from time to tome.
I appreciate the fact that EMIYA is cooking in the final scene in Chaldea. As far as other characters go, I'd like to see some from other Fate/Type-Moon series. Sieg, Hakuno or Nero, and Gray come to mind, as well as Ryougi Shiki returning.
Yeah that's kinda his whole shtick. The main villain to the first part of the main story bought into Dantes' surface level edginess summoning him to kill the protagonist, to which Dantes ended up guiding out of the problem mocking the villain laughing he chose the wrong guy for the job. Since then he is probably the most recurring Servant to help us in both the main story and events.
Of course the final fight has to be Roa. Man is literally his archenemy, so he gets to roast his soul twice Also, reminder that Dantes has always been Guda(k)o's personal Plot Armor, so him saving Mash isn't out of the question
I still think dante is actually ritsuka true first servant that he obtain not by wild servant but like officially bonded with etc his first real own servant personally his contracted with that was neither singularity lostbelt
I thought that the reason for his silly and over the top acting was just an alter ego, just like in the original story. But turns out there's no comedy involved or alter ego, he's just that big of an edgelord.
It also might be a way to deal with being an Avenger since being in that class is essential being in a forced state of constant anger and hatred (Oblivion Correction I believe it's called) so the exaggerated Edgelord thing probably helps with anger management.
What a chad. My favorite Servant ever. And I perpetually still have him at NP 1 huhu I'm so happy with his animation here. He translates well as a fighting game character. Love the animation on his cape especially when he flicks it in the air.
@@mythos5276 Alaya won't summon Counter Guardians since Beasts are around, forcing the world to send out Grands instead since Counter Guardians won't cut it.
@@aetherdraw Grands are only exclusive to Fate so are the Beasts, while Guardians have been canonically mentioned in the Tsukihime Timeline. Also there has never been mention of Grands being stronger than Guardians, they just fight different things and are used for different purpose. We still barely know anything about Counter Guardians compared to Grand Servants Tbh i believe Guardians should be more powerful than Grands since the latter is still limited to the class container while Guardians aren't.
The Fate series should consider doing spin-off series about these characters and their legends. We've gotten enough of the Holy Grail Wars, I want to see one of these set around the Count of Monte Cristo. They even added to his legend in the lore of Fate, one that involves him avenging Abbe by taking down the men who put the priest behind bars, before he even gets to his actual revenge.
Just passing through here on my pilgrimage to all the Monte Cristo related content after Ordeal Call 2. . . . . . Even moments like in that final CG will not occur anymore. Though maybe, just maybe waiting and hoping will have an effect.
The Fate and Tsukihime worlds are on opposite ends of the Type Moon multiverse. In the Fate universes, Dantes (back when he was still alive) was the one who killed Roa, using the black flames of his Monte Cristo Mythology to burn his soul to nothingness, preventing him from ever coming back.
@@24hr-Gaming Not quite. Roa was inhabiting a priest that helped orchestrate the imprisonment of Abbe Faria- the priest who stayed by Dantes's side in prison, educated him, and told him where to find the treasure of Monte Cristo. Faria's death in that prison is what allowed Dantes to escape, so his first task out of jail was to avenge his mentor.
He has an edgy shtick but he's a good guy deep down. FGO features him multiple times, and although he's dramatic, his entire ordeal is breaking the protagonist out of seemingly impossible situations. He shattered the prison of space and time.
That's what being 'Avenger' is all about in Type-moon series. All Proper Avengers have a Passive Skill called 'Oblivion Correction', which make them to unable forget the lowest part of their life where they choose to became avenger (Basically it turned them into 'Never forgive, never forget' kind of person) which give them strength and unending drive for vengeance, but because of that, they were trapped inside that melodramatic mood forever, even on normal situation. But at this point in FGO series, it already became a Running Joke that being Overdramatic Edgelord is prequisite to became an Avenger class
Damn I wish there were more cooler characters in melty, like this guy, vlov , kouma and roa. Player base wouldn't be so low if half the roster weren't generic ass anime chicks. Mvc3 (2011 release date btw) has a bigger player base.
