Such a beautiful C3 with a great reverb. Whoever mounted the leslie put it on the perfect way and have the right speaker that match the tool. It's rare believe me.
Between Melvin playing for his son (who sings just as good as his mother) and what the preacher is saying about life and health, this clip is profound. The preacher sounds like Elder Kirvy Brown. Gonna miss you Mel, but your legacy will indeed live on!
I havent seen him in YEARS. Im glad the glory of the Lord is on him STILL. That boy....MAN...has the double anointing of his mom and dad. Im so proud to have seen this.
one of the cleanest and tight pocket organist my ears have ever had the pleasure of hearing. I pray God has you on his Heavenly Organ blessing his ears with your sweet music
Thank You Lord for the anointed ministry you allowed us to share with Min. Melvin Crispell (RIP). I am an musician/organist today because of the gifted sound I heard coming from his music. He will be greatly missed. God bless the family and my prayers are with you.
he is sangin that song, he is truly anointed. I can feel an anointing coming from him. He is blessing my soul. Im in this library on youtube, and im crying goin in. That boy has an anointing and its coming from his pain and trials hes been going in. I can feel deliverance in his singing.
His parents weren't even dead when he was singing this. People evolve through their personal lives and experiences. It just happened that he lossed his parents. Who he chooses to be through song has always been there and will always be there, if he doesn't squander that gift.
Watching this video made tears flow. Melvin Sr. was truly a gift to the Body of Christ and a mentor to many. I miss him already. Prayers to Tuneisha, lil Mel, and the entire family. RIP
Thank you The Anointed Melvin Crispell for sharing the gifts and talents God invested in you with the world. As you take your rest may some of that anointing that he had to minister in music and songs continue in and with me as we fondly reflect on your life and labors of love's message. A another soldier gone home and to us gone too soon. Thank God for the life and legacy of your servant Melvin Crispell. With Deepest Condolences, Cedric and the Blain-Spain Family
I really don't follow the constantly changing and ever-evolving trends in Black Gospel music. Thus I really had know idea who Melvin Crispell was until I learned of his passing in 2014. Indeed, he was an innovator as both a Gospel musician and songwriter...a bad dude. Continue to rest in Christ soldier.
man this guy is a beast Melvin this guy is also musician James Hall gave Melvin that opportunity and I never look back he took advantage of that opportunity and never look back rest in peace bro
What's funny is the way he evolved/matured over time. It's interesting how Life places people in the midst of people (ie family, friends) your environment as well as whatever situation for an outcome..........as at the end of the day, Life really is about outcomes. As even though Butch influenced his playing/taught him, his expression and who he allowed him to evolve into was what really catered to his level of expression/really influenced his gift. As it takes ***being in tune with oneself and ones emotions in order to really tap into all that they possess. Most don't even know or understand the purpose that those around them serve or should I say suppose to serve in their life. It's one thing for you to pick and choose those that you want in your life (whether out of convenience or as a means to an end) but your choices can't come close to what's been set up for you for good reason (basically preparation) from jump! #nothing
Dujuan Gardner what's up bro I know its been some years now, since The United Holiness Church days. Thanks for introducing this Chicago organist to Brooklyn Cogic. Your a lucky dude experiencing Mel's gift up close smh. RIP Melvin
