His talent as a director/writer is talked so much about that I think that sometimes his skillfulness on the organ gets overlooked. It's almost like he's the Nat King Cole of gospel. Nat was such a great song stylist that often his his piano playing skills got overshadowed.
People always putting someone down. Yes, the man has personal issues like everyone else. It is not an excuse to sin, but CLEARLY, this man is very gifted and talented, so let him use what he has to glorify God. Whether god accepts his orthopathy and praise is up to God! Blessed be the name of the Lord.
What a wonderful treat to listen and at the same time see the keys being manipulated, operated upon, and played; whatever you want to call it, it is fluid, it is masterful, and it paints a indescribable picture that's highly appreciated. Sure, many of us musicians can study it, and learn to play it, and cameras can take pictures of other paintings, but it's not as inherently beautiful as the original arranger/creator of the master piece presenting it. I've been listening to James Hall music off and on since 95 or 96; it created a whole class of music. In the 90s, it gave ear musicians something to work towards, and it's still blessing us decades later.
I love this song the organ died after this cause JH Killed it ( in a good way ) but what the devil was the Drummer doing at the end he sounds horrible ) 😀
