I so want to be there on a Sunday for dinner!!! Omg! I’m a Puerto Rican from Bronx, New York City and you can guess that we don’t have this type of experience in the city. What a blessing to the family! God bless you all!
@@mcotto814 this is so funny, your comment bc I work with a Puerto Rican girl and I was just about to send this video with her, I told her about Meme's cabbage casserole recipe. My co-worker's mom lives in the Bronx! We are where the sun shines all the time! Take care 😊
I just wanted to mention that I started watching you on RU-vid less than two weeks ago; you went from a little over 12k viewers to over 30K I’m amazed how quickly you viewership has grown, you deserve it. Go MeMe, Go!
You are kind. For months other channels were stealing my videos and we were fighting that fight... we finally have had the opportunity to grow MY channel. Thank you for tuning in!! Invite your friends to join us. Thank you for your celebratory comments and encouragement. Our world needs more of that!!
I believe I'm 5 days in 💕💕💕 And I Love MeeMee ❤️🎉 You Cook Exactly Like My Great Grandmother Did When She Was Here In Spirit .Good MeeMee Coming From Dallas Tx ...I Love It❤️❤️
God I love this women, she oozes southern hospitality...just the most loveliest and Sweetest Lady. Not only is she an extraordinary cook, but her southern Accent is so adoring and it puts a smile on my face. I'm a Mexican American\ Hispanic man from a urban neighborhood learning how to cook Miss MeMe's out of this world Southern cooking. Thank you MeMe for teaching me and Sharing your amazing cooking.❤ FYI this Women needs her own cooking show and cook book. She has all the ingredients to be a host on her cooking show. God Bless MeMe❤
This channel popped up on my suggestions.... I'm glad it did. 52 years old, grew up in Montgomery AL and I find myself extremely frustrated with trying to find decent food today. I'm a great cook but I don't always want to cook or have time.... I dearly miss the 70's, 80's and 90's of either having the un-realized luxury of eating at a local place with great southern cooking or at home or someone else's home that had great food. Food that we all thought was "normal" and obviously took for granted! What's really disturbing is the younger generation, mine included, seems to have no desire to learn how to cook pintos, black eye peas, corn bread, or even make tea! Watching from south of Atlanta, I would love to sit in Meme's kitchen one Saturday afternoon and listen to stories and eat! 😁
You are so right!! But I am trying to bring cooking back in style! : ) It is time for families to gather around the table again. Thank you for your kind words! and thank you for watching!
Ok MeMe I’m ordering your cookbook this weekend (yes Friday is payday) you are a true southern treasure and love the simple yet tasty things you make. Thanks for sharing 😊
I wish I was there too, being able to taste those biscuits with a fried egg! Lol And a runny yolk. Back during the time your momma worked at school, you could most likely trust them to take your child home safely, i wouldn't trust staff to take a child home from anywhere nowadays. It's sad but true. Thanks for the video!! 😊
@@memesrecipessc yes ma'am they have. It's been said for years, but I believe The Lord's return isn't far off. The Bible says when Jesus returns the world will be like it was in the days of Noah. All it takes for people to understand is to take a look around. People have just lost their minds, their morals, (those that ever had any) and most importantly respect for The Almighty! I hope that you have a good evening!!
I just ordered your cookbook! I can't wait to receive it. I have been watching your videos for quite awhile now and making your recipes for my family. THEY LOVE THEM ALL! lol Thank you for sharing them from your table to mine. By the way my grandmother Hazel was called meme by all of us grandkids. She had 15 and 6 great grands. She just passed away at 96 years old in July week before her Birthday. We had our Sunday lunches and dinners together and now great memories. She taught me how to cook things and now I'm still learning from you. I guess I will be our families Sunday cook now. Lol my sister is a non cooker as you call it. Lol Again thank you for sharing your family recipes with the world. Love and prayers Tracie NC.
Those biscuits would sure be fabulous with some of your freezer strawberry jam!!!! Love you MeMe! 🙏😇❤️ Oh my, and cheese biscuits too! My mouth is watering! 😊
These look wonderful! Not ready for school to start, but I’m OVER with summer here in blistering, dry west Texas. Summer isn’t my favorite anyway, but certainly not this one🥵. Thank you for always bringing delight into my day, sister-friend.
Hi Meme, your videos are a much needed and a thoroughly enjoyable “breath of fresh air”. I stumbled across you a month ago I guess, and quickly was hooked in the best possible way. I’ve gone back and watched all of your wonderful episodes. Thank you so much for the delicious recipes and instructions, mixed with a down to earth sweet story now and then, it is truly one of the best things on UTUBE. I purchased a couple of your cookbooks, one for me and one to gift to my sister-in-law. It’s great! I wish you much success and hope you continue with the video’s …….I’ll be there watching! All the very best health and happiness to you and your family.
That is the sweetest... thank you for taking the time to watch and to offer this encouragement to me. Welcome to my kitchen. Of course if you have watched all of those videos... we are already friends! All the best to you as well!!
I am 43 and have a small family of my own with 2 young children that I homeschool. I am so happy to have found this channel! You have given me great meal ideas and easy Mama recipes! Wish I could hug you and tell you thank you in person. God bless!
Meme, I love your channel and your cook book. I also love your great sense of humor. I always go to your channel or cookbook for my meals. You are my favorite channel. I watch you everyday for hours. Thanks for being there. I also love your Smile For JESUS!!!❤
I've been making internet recipes for a few yrs now and most are trash, don't cook up properly....YOURS DO!!!! I've made more than a handful of your recipes and they make up exactly like yours!! And taste fantastic!! Your pork chops and rice recipe is a favorite so far too!!! Thank you!!
I'm an NC born and bred girl, not far from the border of SC and when I heard your accent I just knew you were from South Carolina ❤️❤️ I didn't learn nearly enough recipes from my grandmothers before they passed and I'm so glad I can watch your videos and taste those childhood Sunday lunches again. God bless y'all 🩷
Hello Miss MeMe! I just found your channel yesterday. I was watching the video and at the end and when you said "Shine For Jesus" I knew I had to subscribe. All your recipes look delicious and I promise you I will be cooking. Thank you so much for your channel and until next video. Much love in Christ Jesus 🙏❤️
Hi there, I found your channel yesterday by accident, now I have binge watched for 2 days. ❤my mom passed December 9th, she was from Louisiana. She was 86. I like all the variations of the same things I grew up with. My mom was a wonderful cook also!!! I love that you shine for Jesus 🙏✝️🙏
I bought us some cube steak, hamburger meat and pork chops on this grocery haul. Gonna make Meme's recipes. I can hardly wait to cook! Gonna make these biscuits too! Thanks for sharing your recipes and your beautiful soul with us!
I to bought some meet from Costco and the butcher had to tell me what cut of meet would make the best for cubed stake. they don't have the diamond cutter to cub it. It's just a time coast waste for them. I to got porkchops. Your right!! She is a breath of fresh air. Blessing cooking her MeMe's recipes.
I was looking for a biscuit recipe when I ran across this channel and I absolutely love it reminds me of my grandma she came from Arkansas and the way that me me talks remind me of her and I just feel so good about that and I like the way she cooks so please keep doing this is wonderful
I will have to try this recipe! My 3-ingredient recipe calls for 1 cup self-rising flour, 1/2 cup buttermilk and 2 tablespoons of mayo. After the bottom has browned, I turn the broiler on for a second to brown the top. I always enjoy your videos MeMe. I want to try your pound cake recipe as it reminds me of the pound cake my mom baked when we were kids.
Did I hear biscuits ?1? Only 3 ingredients oh I'm in❤LOL yup I heard ya 375 degrees🤣😂🤣Love how ya all having fun! I'm a new follower and absolutely love your channel, thank you for such great recipes and PS enjoy all your stories!
I have made drop biscuits for years because they are easier, less working the dough than rolling out. This recipe is a first though because I have never had one that called for melted butter! All the recipes call for very cold butter because that is what makes it flaky! Mind. Blown.
Hello Meme!! Loved watching you make the drop biscuits!! I can’t wait to make those biscuits!! You are a ray of sunshine! I just love watching your videos, love your cookbook! I have it and it’s my favorite cookbook! I also love your stories you tell!
My Mom (who will be 90!!! on Sept 15) and I were talking today about how we are 'flashing ahead to Fall'! Now, Summer is my favorite season! But we're getting hungry for soups and stews and other 'comfort' foods!
LOL! That was the sweetest story about the ride home. I love your channel, I've made your chocolate cobbler, your red rice and I have the doolollies in the oven right now. Everything has been so delicious and you both are so lovely😊 I feel like I've made some new friends 😊😊
I lost my mom a couple years ago. I still feel lost without her. When i found your channel my jaw dropped. You and her could have been family. She dressed in the same type clothes and wore her hair just like you. She was a red head though. :-) wish i could give you a hug. A new and very happy subscriber here. All my love to you and your family. Going to binge your videos now.
I enjoy the videos very much. I saw we all like our butter. I can remember Saturday mornings Mom would put the churn in front of me. I would be on the floor watching Scooby-Doo and churning butter. Kept me busy while she was in the kitchen making bread. Nothing like fresh butter on fresh baked bread. A real treat.
🤣Oh MeMe...you and I have created a monster!! I made these biscuits this morning and my husband's eyes got as big as saucers....he said, "These are the best biscuits you have ever made....". I guess I will be keeping a hefty supply of butter in my refrigerator now!!
Sorry Miss MeMe I got so excited to let you know I am making these drop Biscuits tonight...I pressed the send button before I was done with my message to you..Miss MeMe I made homemade minestrone soup for tonight's dinner...I just wanted to use all the fresh veggies of summer...no macaroni..these biscuits will go great...Miss MeMe I just adore you..your recipes are perfect...I binged watched your videos 3 nights ago(could not sleep)...WOW is my hubby in for a real treat...Love your sweet stories..what a special gift...for a "very sweet and special Lady "...Bless you Miss MeMe and Bless your family and friends too... Shine for Jesus...🦋
Oh my goodness, what a fabulous and delicious looking biscuit recipe. So easy too. I am saving this in my recipe file. I cannot wait to try this easy recipe. I think to the cheese ones I’m going to add some mild green chilies from a can. 😊 thank you so much for that recipe.
I lost my mom in March and I stumbled upon your videos and you remind me so much of her. She didn't write any of her recipes down and I am not as good at eyeballing the mixes as she was so finding so many on your channel that she made brings a little piece of her back to me, thank you for that! ❤ Looking forward to your cookbook restock, I'm watching the site. Congrats on your huge success!
😘🥰 Miss Meme Iv been having a cook-athon baking from your cookbook I received on Friday afternoon last. I cant wait to bake these! Your sweet spirit is like having you in the same room. I hope your channel keeps growing because you share wonderful and delicious recipes. I love your shine for Jesus Moto. Blessings to you and your family!
I found you on RU-vid about two weeks ago and love, love, love your posts! My mother’s family was from the south and listening to you talk reminds me of visiting the family. Your recipes are all similar to the food I grew up on. I am waiting patiently for my cookbook to arrive. It will be great having the recipes all together and not having to search high and low for each one. I made cabbage casserole last night and my husband said MeMe’s a keeper.
I made your chocolate chip cookies and your chewies this weekend huge huge hit with my husband and grand babies. Y’all if you haven’t ordered Meme’s cookbook your really missing out love ya Meme keep those recipes coming!
I use to bring my son his favorite tuna salad to school. Make it fresh. Bring it to him. He got to come out. I got to see him ❤. Life was good momentarily. That’s Indian Mound in mc farland wi.
Love you Meme. My little grandson is 7 years old and starting at a new school. Please pray for him, last year he was bullied at his old school and we need prayers that he will be free of that this year. Thank you for your videos and your prayers. I know you are a mighty woman of faith so I feel comfortable asking for your prayers.
Thank you for your yummy videos. I just received my cookbook and I'm actually making 2 of your recipes today. I'm making the chicken wrapped in bacon and the broccoli 🥦 salad.
Thank you Miss MeMe for sharing your family recipes with the world. I’m a new subscriber tuning in from Northern Europe and looking forward to making your pork chops and rice dish for dinner tomorrow. Much love and blessings to you
Just ordered your cook book! Can’t hardly wait! I cook for me my hubby and our two teen age children, thanks for helping with the family friendly, cost effective meals for a working momma
