@@aspenisthebest it could even be a little thing because EA could just have sims have cars then once sims go somewhere they will drive off leading to a loading screen.
Dani4783 I can see how that would make more sense then just running around the corner and disappearing but it would still feel weird unless everyone just had a taxi pick them up but how it was in sims 3 wouldn’t make sense
@@lynndragon2536 Hahaha I was playing Sims 3 on my laptop, and while playing it in Winter, I was always putting my hand near the ventilation so my arms can get warmth :D Or get cooked...
Yes. I always hate when I have a bathroom, and if I put the good looking window there...then you have a huge window in your bathroom. But if I don't and use a smaller window or no window, it looks horrible on the outside. T-T
Fun fact- for windows on the front of the house, architects place it so it looks good from the outside but not necessarily the inside for curb appeal. It’s the opposite for the sides and back, it has to look good from the inside but not the exterior. Long story short I use this as an excuse for my disgusting windows :)
@@RottingDollCollection hey, any laptop on its own cannot really stop you from using cc/mods. You need to allow cc and especially script mods in the game settings and then restart the game for mods to work :)
6:35 the farthest i've ever gotten is 7 generations (my current household)... The family tree is so big it's actually hard to find the founder. My sim accidentally married their great-uncle. Somewhere, someway, we're related to the Goth family. The Landgraabs have been dead for centuries. Everyone you see is random. They're all wearing tiaras and knee high boots. Everyone at University is an elder. I've encountered not 1, not 2, but 3 robot waiters. This game did not expect anyone to get past generation 3, i swear.
Yesterday I got my sims all dressed up nicely for their wedding and made a beautiful ceremony, forgetting I had Life’s Tragedies and Life’s drama mods enabled at the same time. Within seconds five people on fire spawned, the grim reaper appeared as three of my wedding guests died at the same time, another got hit by a car, two toddlers along with every single other person at the wedding were on fire, all of the sims were covered in ashes, a cheating couple situation appeared, and poor Nani Kealoha dies. I cancelled the wedding and just made my sims elope at home. Yeah I’m done playing the sims for a little while. That was a traumatic experience.
The flower bunny came to my house once and just wouldn't leave, not even when when my sim asked him to or when I clicked "send home". I know it was probably a bug, but I don't use the "flower bunny" tradition for my holidays anymore lol.
@@katlyndobransky2419 Especially when you live in a rental home and whenever your landlord needs to replace a window they just get whatever's the cheapest. Landlords of cheaper homes could not care less if everything looks good or not. Half the time they don't even care if everything in the house is functioning or not.
Another thing that I do in the Sims is that I will spend what seems like an eternity creating my sims family and their house and then only spend like five or 30 minutes playing the actual game lol
I stopped giving my sims 5 outfits cuz even when I’d force them to put on another one they SWITCH BACK TO THE FIRST ONE TO GO TO SCHOOL N SHIT AND IM LIKE WHYYYY
Tragic storytime: the theif gave me an irration fear of getting robbed, it was the sims 1, my sims were sleeping soundly when the robber approached, I had no idea this was a thing, it had never yet happened. I. Was. Scared. From that terrifying point on I kept one sim awake at all times so I wouldn't be robbed, dumb? Yes...Something I did? Also yes. My sims would constantly collapse of exhaustion
In the Sims 1 the burglar alarm only protected the room it was in, but the outside counted as one room, so I’d always hide the alarm around the back of the house somewhere and as soon as the thief stepped on the lot it’d go off. The cops usually got there in time, where if it was inside they were usually too late. I always felt so much smug satisfaction when it worked, lol, I was like 11
I am traumatized thanks to sims 1. My parents had it, I tried it, got addicted to. Babies always got taken, fires always started, and building was atrocious. I loved it.
I usually only use the Sims 4 for aesthetic creations and Sims 3 for actual play. The first time I actually played a family on ts4 I decided to do a legacy challenge and I got so angry with the freakin' high chair
I mean, there are people who do this even NOT in Vegas. I wouldn't recommend it, but I know a couple who has been together for almost 30 years after only knowing each other for like 7 hours before getting married. I guess some people do just know when someone is "the person for them".
"Okay take the toddler to the backyard! --- no! No not the stroller, you're just taking them to the-- oh my God now you're going all the way around this lot to get the stroller on the 3rd floor."
That meme about Sims staring at every object is twice as true now. Is anyone else getting that new glitch where your sim WAKES UP in the middle of the night to admire the decor? Please tell me I'm not alone with it.
Yep, I still can't forget the day that I first played it. I stayed awake all night because I've never played that game before. But I didn't save it. I freaked out a lot 😬
I just recently spent SO long creating a bomb ass sim, then once I get the the traits and stuff boom... my game freezes and I even tried to wait for a while but no the game told me it had other plans for the sim to never see the world 🤧
I didn’t realize imaginary friends were hated that much. I honestly loved them, and I used them at least once every generation or every other generation. Even in an open world game I hated having to go out of my way to make my sims meet new people.
I think the "walls down house" has a sliding door. You can kind of see it behind the tub in the corner, and the floor looks like it has a place where two such doors might meet.
Sims 4 Actually has a Restriction on Marrying someone if you asked them to be Boyfriend/Girlfriend and share a first kiss, if you try to rush too fast, the other sim will automatically Reject with a speech bubble telling you both to take it slow
One time I was playing the Sims 4 with my friend and eventually the sim that was supposed to be me got pregnant and then gave birth to twins. Later my friend insisted on drowning the baby daddy and he turned out to be a really good swimmer so it took a long time to drown him. Then the twin babies were taken away because we got to carried away drowning the dad…
me: ok now put the toddler in the chair sim: picks up toddler and puts it in the highchair me: now walk away sim: picks up kid and sits them on the floor THEN walks away me: *mentally raging and concerned if i should just quit this game*
I will say one thing for The Sims 4 -- the autosave (and the ability to look at a list of several recent saves and roll back to any of them) is a HUGE deal and I wish I'd had it for the previous games.
I remember one time I looked around my town for a new baby daddy or something and I had my mods on. One of the townies put on a strap-on as pants. I died laughing.
I am big on legacies, currently doing ABC 26 generation challenge for funs lol.. I am current on L (Levi).. I have had Atsila (ath-see-lah), Bristol, Charleigh, Dyllon, Elaina, Fernando, Goddiva (ga-dive-a or god-dive-a), Hunter, Isadora, Justin, Kairo (cai-ro) and now Levi ! :)
i cant make a sim save without putting like 8 generations at least before moving on... and idk what to do with my sims ever so i just search the web constantly looking for good legacy challenges..
I never do generations but I just started one and when they had kids I randomized all the traits and likes and dislikes so it’s a lot more fun getting random traits and you get very different sim personalities, idk how to explain it ahaha basically it’s just more fun because you get random personalities and have to go with whatever you get
I used to abandon save files while it was only the beginning of the plot I had in mind. Now I haven't been able to play because, y'know, moving process.
i had a family with a new baby and the parents were at their wedding, well the bride died of laughter and the groom dipped leaving her sister to take care of her baby😭
each sims save file i have has its own "chosen one" when it comes to cc hair that all the random townies have and it always makes me never use that hair again
Same, and townies always have the worst taste in CC. Like, they could pick a normal bracelet, but no, they have to pick the fairy wings that you got to make fairies that are in the bracelet catagory.
I find them creepy. It’s the soulless eyes, the creepy laugh, and the fact that only the child can see it for me. It’s like the imaginary friend creepypasta. It could murder my sim in their sleep and the parents will not know anything about what happened, the only evidence of their child’s death would be the bloody hands of their imaginary friend they had since they were a toddler.
3:47 It happens to me EVERYTIME 😭 Yesterday I spent hours building and decorating a house for a family, and they do this in every room, except in the bathroom, WHERE THERE’S ONLY THE MINIMUM AND NO DECORATION AT ALL 😭😂 Needless to say, I locked them in their rooms with the strict minimum to survive after this 😂
Flashbacks to the sims 3 freezing we had to endure. I just don't think I would be able to do it if I went back to play today. Even if I only had one expansion pack installed
I used to train up my sims fitness just so I could kick the thief's butt myself. I miss the thief. =( Also, you know there's a body behind that stairway door blocked by railing. o.o
I loved the imaginary friends from sims 3. I wish it wasn’t randomly gifted to the babies though because I would have to cheat delete most of them. I wish we could’ve sold them or choose to buy them.
i’ve switched to solely playing the sims 2 and i’m still so surprised when they put the toddlers in the high chair and don’t immediately take them out again. the sims 4 has poisoned me
I feel like the "poorly decorated" debuff only shows up if I have an unfinished floor or wall tile or something along those lines, it actually almost never happens in my game
I'm like 3 months late, but I can answer the window question! I work in the modular home business, and the different window sizes is 95% of the time due to something being under the window, like a cabinet. But the different shapes on that house? That was 100% customer preference.
I loved in sims 3 that someone you played and died in another game sometimes came to visit and when the thief came me and my friend always tried to follow him
The first and only time I got a game over in the sims was the Sims 3. I decided to play as Agnes Crumplebottom. I gave her a makeover, a boyfriend, and she ended up getting pregnant. She had the baby and things were looking good. She made a cake for the baby’s birthday. She started a fire. She caught on fire. She died because she wouldn’t move to the shower. It gave me a message like “this household is unplayable!” Because it was just the baby. I was so sad. Didn’t even get s chance to move the baby into a new household- she just disappeared :’(
