I had to use a cooling pad AND put icepacks on top of my laptop, or it would overheat and shut off 😂

@@bridgetthewench exactly! my laptop screen is broken, so I've been streaming my game to the TV, so I don't have a place to plug my cooling pad into, so it's been shutting off lol. (as I typed this I realized I have an extension cord lol)

Make sure you have something solid and flat for your laptop to rest on! The cooling fans for your laptop are on the underside of it, so if a blanket is blocking the fan, it'll get SUPER hot and may damage the laptop. (I recommend a lap desk) You probably already know this though, so this is more a general tip for anyone who's scrolling past! 🤠

I give all randomised townies that form ANY kind of relationship with my sim a makeover but I like to keep their hair colour/length and style similar to what they used to have so they're still the same sim, just with a bit of a glow-up. I do the same for some pre-made townies too that have awful clothes

Honestly, I just go in the manage worlds and check every so often and give everyone some tlc *before I see them in game* cuz they all need it. I also delete the canon households before I start playing.

The restaurant thing...I swear I will want my Sim to find their true love but as soon as a date request comes in, I always figure on "do I have 36 hours to dedicate to the restaurant they go to? Nope? Not today. Sorry Sim...lonely for another day" I seriously DREAD dates.

Some Sim ask your Sim for a date. Go to the date. Inviting Sim immediately start socializing with any other Sim EXCEPT my Sim. Inviting Sim complains about the bad date. When invited on a date, you should disable autonomy and spam your date with romantic interactions. Restore autonomy after the date is over. That's the ONLY way to make those dates a success.

I remember one game where my dad sim cheated on my mom and had a baby with the woman. When my mom saw her in his relationship panel, she went into detective mode and found the woman. She confronted the woman and then stole the baby (shift clicked and added to her household). She then raised the baby as her own. She saved her family in her gallery, and every time she starts a new game that daughter is always there, lol. There are other wacky stories too. Same, Sasha. Same. I sometimes accidentally an hour without saving, and then my main Sim dies to an act of the Universe, like me not realizing I screwed up trying to send the killer bunny after an NPC pissed me off... and realizing I sent it after my own Sim. So I game over since I'm the only one in my household.

I can confirm too that playing the sims on pc is hard🙋‍♀️ pc crashed while i had the sims 4, chrome page and a word file open. Had to send the pc to tech people to be repaired. Turns out it was a ram problem and that you should not have the sims AND something else open at the same time💀💀

I think I have the opposite problem, I’m too attached to my previous saves. So I don’t want to change their world in case something goes wrong like I forget to set only my current household to age and then my previous sim families grow and have lives and die and I miss it all. So instead I have a million saves
