I wish I knew about MP sooner. Now we're all over the place achedemically. (Reluctant writer; a year old; and mommy SAD disorder) but I can't imagine how I'd fit it all in. I had to give up AAR and simply Charlotte Mason Math, for example, because it took too much one on one with crazed attention hungry toddler who isn't a sitting parallel play. But a tackle and climb kind who draws on himself alone. Haha. I enjoy classical style but it's all intensive. I don't like unschool or unit study style. I like this map and go. Thanks for sparking some ideas.
I would love to see 2nd grade and 4th grade thanks! I'm switching from bookshark to MP and just getting kids ready they love to see what they will be doing lol. Great video thanks for sharing
This may be a dumb question but does MP have history? In first or second grade? Also is there a way to exclude some things from a kit like the latin workbooks? And for the read out loud that's a separate purchase right?
You said you used to use abeka. Did you ever use abeka for phonics? I am curious how abeka phonics compares with mp phonics. I used abeka with my first 2, but am quite drawn to mp and I want to use it for my youngest 2.
Just starting to hs this year. Girl in 1st grade and boy in 4th. They have been in the catholic public system in Ontatio, which is awful. My son is still struggling to read. Would he be able to do Memoria Press 5th grade?
We did use the math. Rainbow resource sometimes has cheaper bundles than memoria Press. Since we started them with 3rd grade we did the 3rd grade curriculum kit for new users. Otherwise with our kids who started in kindergarten we just got the kindergarten curriculum kit.
Since you mentioned that you used to use Abeka, how does their program compare to MP? I was planning on using Abeka for phonics and reading but now im considering MP!
I honestly can't say anything bad about abeka phonics. We moved everything over to MP because we wanted to dive all in and try it out. I will say since doing so we have no regrets and we enjoy mp phonics.
What grades are they in? We started in 4th grade with Memoria Press for our older kids. They have Memoria Press for New Users which is what we used and I recommend using.
@@bettewomack6209 we also order from Rainbow Resource. We have found them to be considerably cheaper so far for the exact same things. You may have to call to get the kits. I don't know if they have them on their website.
