@@wandamccarter5494 thank you Wanda , yes my sweetie. was gone , I am Vietnamese , thank and appreciate your husband serviced the Vietnamme war 2 , God bless you '
My heart goes out for you god bless you and your family and your husband gave his life for peace and prosperity for our children and yours. Let us never forget the sacrifice these brave men and women do for our country. From Britain with love. 🇬🇧🇺🇲 Together we stand together.
I'm a British paratrooper and I lost alot of my friends in Afghanistan, this was played as we brought them off the plane back in England and I cry everytime I hear this, I grew up playing football with these guys and now I can't see them again, rest in peace lads 😔
My heart's bleeds for you my friend and thank you for your service may your friends rest in peace. I always have a special place for our service men and women always in my 💓
I am from the Bulgarian army and I served in Afghanistan at Kandahar airport! I have 3 missions in Afghanistan together with the US military! Rest in peace heroes
As a 38-year-old male every time I see these videos I cry like a baby every time The brave men and women who lost their lives serving this country and she those who are still serving this country we thank you for everything that you do God bless the United States of America
Good man always a respectful word. I’ve actually been serving in the United Kingdom SCC (Sea cadet corps) for 5 months and 1 week. My first parade was on November around Remembrance Sunday, the only thing I remember was marching down the road to the war memorial and the remembrance song.
My grand father served over seas during Vietnam and whenever i hear this song it instantly brings me to tears. Thank you for your service. He passed in his sleep very peacefully. Yes its hard that a family member so close is gone but i know he is not in pain anymore. God simply decided it was his time and to relieve him of his pain.
My grandfather was a chief master electrician on the U.S.S Harkness, and many other battle ships and destroyers. He joined the navy in 1942 and spent spent 40 years in the navy doing what he loved. My grandfather also passed in his sleep peacefully when I was 2 years old I been told he was around the world 18 times. He got a signed letter from Ronald Regan l that I have framed, along with his flag & shell casings. I did not get to remember my grandfather or what he looked like, but he loved me a lot and saved a lot of war bonds for me. I love him and wish I could have met him. He’s still a huge hero in my life
Of all who died serving the military. During the vietnam, world war 2, Afghanistan any war from the first war in history, the Korean War, up to the Afghanistan War. Thank you for your service.
My grandfather served in Vietnam and came back alive and later passed on September 26 2013 at 9:52 pm I wish I could tell him one more time that I loved him.
My grandfather on my mother's side served in the Korean War. My grandfather on my father's side served in World War II and was there at D-Day. I am forever grateful for their service and that is why I served.
I lost my brother 3 weeks ago. I will never forget the last day I saw him alive. We were on the same plane heading over to Afghanistan, he was in the army, I am in the Air Force. As he left to go to his FOB I hugged him and said 'be safe...... I will see you soon. I love you' I fly rescue choppers and the on the Thursday of the 3rd week over there we got s call that a friend had stepped on an IED. I had a really bad feel about this call that I didn't usually have, so I got there and the medics went to go and fetch him. And when that got back I looked back to see if everyone was ready and I saw my brothers face. I have never flown as fast as I did that day..... But I wasn't fast enough he still died in hospital. I feel like it's my fault for not being fast enough. And now I will never be able to hear his voice again or hug him or anything like that...... Mom and dad I am so sorry that I couldn't do anything... I LOVE AND MISS YOU BRO :,'(((((
+TheSupreme Etchyskayuntcay same to you brother, I hope you recover from this. Tell your mates family that I am so sorry for their loss. I apologise for your loss. May his soul live of for ever and God bless you and his family
Im an old soldier, I seved many years ago. I was a fortunate one, my life was spared. However, many of my fellow soldiers were not so fortunate. Let us never forget that freedom isn't free.
Cruise Brothers Independent Agent Mary Barrett thanks so much for your service... you’re a true hero. I wanna be like ya and serve better than ya did because I’m still young. Thanks.
I love America, Americans are and will always be my brothers and sisters. I fought alongside them and I owe a great deal to the courage and spirit of sacrifice of the American soldiers. Thank you. Thank you for your service.
Thank you all for serving your countries, be you Kenyan, Ukrainian, German, American, Pole, Czech, Moroccan, Croatian those of us who live in peace and freedom cannot thank you enough!
@@lftfjllifhi Land of the Free because of the Brave...and that includes PD, FD, First Responders, Front Line essential workers in this time of crisis....maybe its too child-lke but America is strong because of that. And we will e strong because of that long after AntiFa and all others like them are relegated to the refuse pile of history.
I played this very song as i lowered my flag the day our 13 Angels left . Go Rest High you will Never be Forgotten not from our Hearts & Minds. Thank you for your Service and keeping us ALL FREE....
This gets me every time, I joined the army at 17 and was deployed to iraq at 19 two weeks after I turned 19. And where I was deployed we had been told that there had been quite a few deaths (us soldiers) so at 19 years old I had to write that letter that no one wants to and to this day I still have it. It is inside my flag in my flag case. Even to this day I think back and remember how hard it was to write that letter. Imagine being 19 and having to write a letter to your family telling them you was dead but not gone and to remember me for who I am and for why I was ok with not coming home because I was okay with sacrificing my life at 19 so that others wouldn't have to and to please not be sad but instead be happy knowing your son was fighting for you and everyone else in the United States and that's something to be proud of not be upset about. God bless each and every soul that is willing to put their own life at risk so others don't have to.
No soldiers are lucky for the place where they are deployed, but to be fair I'm French and was deployed in Afghanistan and then Mali and I think Iraq would have been even worse. What's hard to see is the families struggling or people in general struggling. Not shooting. One time a woman with her son (6 years old) were caught in a crossfire and the child was hit. I remember him crying and screaming and the mom trying to get us to save them. After the zone clear we went take care about them. Thanks for your service
my grandfather was a Canadian veteran from WW2 I played this song for him at his funeral my cousin and I sang this song as well as it was playing, we both felt that he was with us watching over us that day it was very heart warming my eyes filled with tears I miss him so much
Listening to this and looking at this pictures makes me aware of how lucky I've been to survive and how happy I must be to be home again with my family! God bless you all!
When I was at NAS Miramar, each time they flew in from the carrier following deployment I was reminded of the price and still do. As a brat, I often saw the same. During Vietnam, when I watched remains unloaded by forklift I thought of how phony it is to make America believe what happened/happens at Andrews AFB is what I witnessed during my service when they came home in body bags
My grandpa was a black American veteran from WW1 and honor him by remembering the struggles he had to take and I’m going to honor him by joining the United States military. God bless the United States of America🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Don't join bro, not until we get a commander in chief that loves our military, otherwise you will be used as cannon foder for these corrupt politicians that push for war but never serve or fight themselves. Anyway if you do I wish you the best of luck, I fought in Iraq and at the time I thought we were doing something noble but it was all bullshit.
I am British but the bagpipes are my favourite musical instrument and this tune always fills me with tears. To all those brave men world wide who fought and died to give us our freedom. Rest in Peace and Thank You...
its literally impossible to watch this fully, no pausing, without crying, i didnt even get 30 seconds in before i felt the tears coming, its the pics of the kids that are hitting the hardest for me
I don’t have family in the military, but this makes me tear up reminding me of my grandma who passed last March in India and others that I’ve lost in her past.
When I get to heaven, St Peter gonna say: "How's you earn your livin', boy" "You'd you earn your pay?" I will reply with a whole lotta anger: "Earned my livin' as an airborne ranger!"
I was a little misty at the beginning but for some reason 1:06 hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s been a long time since something has made me cry. Thank you to all who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice and God bless those who’ve lost someone in the line of duty.
When I read your comment, and even before checking the timestamp, I just knew it had to be *that* one. Like you, I also lost it at that point. Powerful images overall, but not a single photo captures and evokes the emotions of the moment more perfectly. Teary eyes to the most Amazing Grace on bagpipes. How sweet the sound...
I lost my mother and father and two brothers and Wars please Lord have mercy on their souls May there be peace and harmony for everybody on this planet amen
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
Last time I played this song was at a friend of mine's funeral. He was killed in Afghanistan in 2013. He was only 22. We grew up together over a course of a couple decades. He was born a month before me, and to this day I'll never forget his amazing heart and amazing, infectious smile he had. Always bringing cheer and joy to every one around him. RIP A. J. I miss you brother, Love you always and forever.
sure! I don't know where you live but in my country, nurses often spend hours and hours working with almost no break and get a verylow wage considering the huge responsabilities they have. I admire them too :-)
Sorry but I have to disagree on one point: soldiers do NOT sacrifice anything to save others. They sacrifice to make profit for traitors and parasites.
Jens Müller if they were after money you think they'd join the military? how dumb are you? Stop acting like an edgy teenager convinced that the BLM movement is real and that hates cops. learn some respect and grow up you immature whiny bitch.
I never lost a fellow Marine in service, but lost a few good friends when I worked as a deputy sheriff in California. I heard this music too many times at their funerals. It hurts me to hear this every time.
As a minister having presided over more than my fair share of veteran funerals, to this day Taps takes a little piece of my heart every time I hear it. A pastor friend of mine was spiritually healed of cancer when his earthly body failed to overcome the disease. At his graveside, Amazing Grace was played live on the bagpipes. To this day I cannot hear this with a dry eye.
@@aggiebueckert2355 Because the modern American military is just a tool to enrich the powerful, and dominate the vulnerable. And so many of our young men and women have died for it... died for a lie, maimed, shot and traumatized, so American imperialists can further their power. Edit: this doesnt apply to our warriors who truly fought for righteous causes: namely the revolutionary war, WWII, and the war of 1812, for example. But Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria... all for nothing. And the death toll of those in these countries is 6 digits
God bless you America. When your troops liberated our village you saved hundreds of people from the most excrutiating deaths. I as a young man held onto a soldier and he stopped and hugged me. I will never forget the sacrifice you people made for our freedom. thank you and may your peace be eternal .

I leave here an honorable mention to all those who fought and died for. Because without them, I wouldn't be here in the United States, in this honorable homeland.
I'm Polish soldier I lost my friend! I know what it mean lost! My heart crying when I see fallen heroes! R.I.P. brothers! God bless you and thanks for your service and sacryfice!
As British Remembrance Day is approaching in the UK 11,11,11 this means the 11month of the 11 hour 11 minute the guns fell silent in ww1. We use this day to remember our war dead in all conflicts. I just wanted to say thank you to all American troops I serve with in Afghanistan. I'm sorry for you country's losses. As we say in the British army as the going down of the Sun we will remember them. God bless America.
this song reminds me of my dad any time i listen to it may his soul continue resting in peace and to others who died back then may their souls find peace

Seeing all of those people being sad for those who served their country while this amazing music plays, hit in a very deep level. I salute you, on this Memorial Day and your memory, thanks for your service!
Never fails to bring tears to my eyes watching this video. If fellow Americans cannot be touched and teared up watching this, their empathy is lost and their emotions are in need of repair.
From a son of a Veteran of the Angola Bush War. Thank you for your sacrifice all you brave souls who served and to those who served till the ultimate cost. Let the world never forget your sacrifice.
I am not from America but I am a true scot and play the bagpipes so I cried while watching this, BTW bless america for it's loss. and do not forget our Scottish Laddies fallen in battle either
I agree with you my Scottish highlander brother because the dead shall not be Forgotten as brothers In Arms who earned in blood and fought and died in Hell's Highway.

They have no juries and won't let you or your children or anyone testify on your behalf and when you say "they're lying" which is all they do, the cops throw you in a psych ward and say it's a "mood disorder" Senator Nancy Schaefer was fired for telling people of the corrupt system of CPS. Amazing Grace Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now I see. T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear. And Grace, my fears relieved. How precious did that Grace appear The hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come; 'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far and Grace will lead me home. When we've been here ten thousand years Bright shining as the sun. We've no less days to sing God's praise Than when we've first begun. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, Was blind, but now I see.
I'm only a high schooler, and I feel the sacrifice that these soldiers made for this country, the sadness that families had at these soldiers' funerals.
Yes...they died for your freedom! and to make bush and cheney richer. Your country seems to have an innate love for war...just cannot get enough of it. Well try fighting russian hypersonic nukes 70 seconds off the coast of Florida... food for thought?
This version tears my heart out. So beautiful and poignant. How can you not shed a tear. God Bless our Brave Brothers in arms. And the families who are left behind. We love you eternally.
Lord. I pray to you in the name of Jesus Christ, that you reach down and touch the hearts of these families. Especially in this day and age. Our government is spitting on the memories of our fallen soldiers and veterans. I believe in the Holy Bible even more every day. Thank you for saving your children. Let there be peace in the hearts of my brothers and sisters. Hallelujah, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

In my Primary school men in military clothes would come to our school, and there was this guy who always played the bagpipes. And as young as I were a child who never experienced war, I always almost cry knowing those people who fought in the war, and those who had lost their lives in the war fighting for freedom.
