You should send that to the ride organizers!! Such a great plug for them for future aspiring riders!! Maybe ask if they use it in their website/registration, ask for a free reg for next year!! 😃

Thanks, I was so happy and the memories are so good but yeah the blues were there for a day or two. Still miss it to be honest! But so glad it happened!

Awesome experience. I'd love to set myself the challenge, how did you get involved and what preparation did you do to make sure you were ready for it?

Hiya Martyn, a friend Toby, (who is in the 'Dope' kit at the end of this video) told me about it. I was riding audax rides of around 200km anyways but also did some extra fatigue training with my coach. Basically this was riding intervals at threshold but those intervals got longer over time. It meant I could handle fatigue. But honestly just start getting in long rides of around 100km and upwards - and get used to your bike and saddle. I'm sure you will have a great time x
