What I always remember about him is NFL halftime show in 1993. He was very serious that time, and now it made sense to me why he was very serious that time. I think I understand where his loneliness came from. He once said that he was the loneliest person in this earth. I think it is very true. I hope now his loneliness is becoming smaller. Today, there are many people who know what MJ knows. Finally, today there are those who understand what MJ has been saying about tabloids, publishing companies and history books. Today some people are aware of his/her childhood has been taken by the systematic abuse of power in this society.
He was and is such a huge part of my life. As a little girl he was the first crush I had, I was six when I first laid eyes on this beautiful man during his Bad era. And from that moment I was addicted. Of course I don’t really know him having never met him, but all the experiences of watching him as I grew up, the daydreams about him, the memories of his amazing performances and interviews..it all comes together in one large general overview and lasting impression of who he really is.. and that’s MY personal Michael. He belongs to ME.. that version does. I would like to believe that, when we die, we become like God in the sense that we can be omnipresent and have a presence in many people’s lives. That we can have a personal relationship with an unending amount of people as God has. After my family, one of the first people I will be looking for is Michael. I grieve for my version of him. I miss him and love him every bit as much now as a woman of 40 as I did a girl of 6 or 16 or 26. He can be anything I want him to be, and that is his magic.
