Netty, I'm just happy you and this channel exist. I came here looking for Playthroughs of my favorite games, and that's exactly what you gave me, nothing more, nothing less. Whenever you post a rain world, or nine sols, or hollow knight or whatever it's always a highlight of my day. I'm here because, well .... I like games! And I like seeing people enjoy those games.

Oooh interesting question... First of all I believe that everything we do changes us, even if by miniscule amount. We are constantly shaped by our experiences. While i don't think I had a game that "changed my life" there's plenty that resonated with me on their themes or provided an interesting perspective on things. Outer wilds, Celeste, Slay the Princess, and Hollow Knight too are very though provoking but most impactful for me would be... Rain World. Can't delve too far into things for spoiler reasons but i love how it handles themes of life, death, entropy and rememberance. As a Slugcat we are completely inconsequential. We live and die over countless cycles like an unescapable daily routine. And if we were to break from this cycle, we're just gone, with no one to remember us as even Moon doesn't retain her memories for long. Nature will run it's course and even her shall turn to dust as will every trace of the ancients who once mastered the world at large. It is a scary thought, to be forgotten... and yet it's not painted in a bad way. On the contrary, clinging to memories is seen as a fate worse than death. Nothing lasts forever but with every end there's a new beginning. Dark Souls. Not sure how familiar you are with the lore of these games but they have a huge overlap with Rain World to be honest. Maybe that's why I love it so much, I guess there's a pattern here :P. It also asks a question "what do you do at the end of the world". Here you are are even less than nothing, you were supposedly "chosen" but even that is a lie made by the gods who cursed you in the first place by going against the very laws of the universe. And as reality itself unravels and the world slowly burns to ash upon countless sacrifices. Despite no-one trully expecting you to accomplish anything. You persevere, against insurmountable odds for no other reason or goal than just because you can. This hits a very personal note as I began to play these games when i was much younger and struggled after a tragic loss. Never give up for the reward for keeping on always outweighs the challenge. That's what those games trully teach and not only to me. There's a reason the community at large adopted a saying: "Don't you dare go hollow." Not gonna go on a full third tangent but my favourite game of all time is Witcher 3. Despite it's fantasy setting it always touched on incredibly realistic and close to home themes and is not afraid of exploring them and philosophising. Even more so I literally grew up with the books so ending that game felt like parting with an old friend that's been there from childhood. "Something ends, something begins". maaaan.. :'/

shape of unn is one of my favourite charms :3 its in my main charm setup, i dont care if its technically "suboptimal" or "a waste of notches" i love being slug and going brr. its the same reason I'm still doing a spell-focused build despite the fact that its not as effective in late game, i dont care, I am full of whimsy and my brand of joy desires magic!! Shape of Unn also has some fun charm combos!! I won't spoil exactly what they are, but there are three (technically four) combos, and all of them are with other charms that affect your focusing. Three of the four are purely visual however, but still very neat. I'd recommend to start to head for ending one now, if you'd like to grab that first, because once you obtain the item for endings two and three you can no longer do ending one. Just a little warning.
