I found this overly simplified. As a teacher and learner of languages (English/French) the only true way (unless you have a photographic memory) to remember things is... repetition, repetition, repetition. And it doesn't take into account people like me who have neurological conditions, which can make memory recall difficult. I will literally go through the alphabet to remember a name of a celebrity whose face I can clearly see in my head. Not to mentions that stress and adrenaline can make memory unreliable, which is why witnesses to a crime can often have conflicting accounts. And what about head injuries? As an example, I love maths because I don't need to learn my times tables by heart (how stressful is that?). I only need to know the logic behind 9x9 and I can work it out. For those who learn visually and found this useful... great. But to those who had difficulty, don't feel bad. This is just one technique. Find what works for you. There's nothing wrong with you if you didn't remember most of those 17 words. I didn't. But I'm pretty sure I could if I watched this video over and over again (repetition).
