I have to say this was Black American Art at its full capacity. The vibe, the swag, the bounce, the music, the style, the charisma and the creativity. Can't get any better than this.
Being from Brooklyn NY and a BreakDancer and battled and have seen many great dancers I can truly say that this is the hardest, most incredible routine I have ever seen. OG Jawz and G Nerd absolutely deserve much respect and homage. I can't stop watching and analyzing every move and everytime I see something new. Hard, fuckin hard as hell I wish I would have discovered Jookin a long time ago
And just think that's just what you see on RU-vid. I live here in Memphis and you would be surprised at the talent in jookin we got. But they definitely did they thing. Old school still got it. Ain't lost a step
Am I the only: that has rewatched this multiple times. Rewatched it to see everyone reaction to the moves. Thought I was tripping when I seen the gravity walk. Seen old dude in the orange shirt quit on the spot. Watch green sweater reaction and felt exactly like she did.
Sometimes it's nice to just see our people having fun. No violence, no anger, no pain and suffering here, just our fellow brothers and sisters having a good time
@butchfrancisco601 as the comment stated ONE of them thangs... your opinion is yours. One thing I am NOT, is stuck! I know who I am in every sense of the word and am one of those that make conscious efforts to EMPOWER our people beyond the narrative... I hope you enjoy your day though.😎
So beautiful so see the black community coming together to create such a beautiful atmosphere. I think sometimes we forget how beautiful and talented our brothers and sisters are I was absolutely brought to tears each time seeing something so beautiful.
By far one of the dopest Jookin videos out there!! That beat is from SoulayKami "Loving You" 🔥🔥🔥🔥 It's on YT. OG Jawz & GNerd wreckd this one!!! I'm glad you posted the full clip 👊🏾
I was born in the late 70’s. This is 80s Breaking n Pop Locking crossed with modern Jooking. I Can’t stop watching as this brings back so many memories! Old school probably taught young dog n young dog might have taught old school. Anyhow a hybrid of Pure Art was the result and this demonstrates how so called black ppl tap into something so spiritual and beyond this realm when left to just be in our own. Thank you
I’m not from Memphis, never knew about this dance, don’t know why this ended up in my feed but DAMN this shit blew my mind. This is dope as hell. Salute to Memphis.🫡
I had to watch again and again. I'm telling y'all can nobody touch this.Yall beyond talented. This is blessed I felt this go thur my body. The way y'all move is so smooth. And the song is 🔥 🔥 that Memphis sound for sure ❤.
🔥🔥🔥This is a INSTANT classic!!! This will go down as one of the most legendary freestyle sessions ever in the history of dancing!! This will be inducted into the Library of Congress!! It was all improv nothing rehearsed!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm lost with Words.!But I watched this video a thousand times. And never gets old.I waited forever for this moment my whole life.Man I wish they do a telethon or something putting this music out there so they can copy something else of ours.! Magical ✨ act .they possibly should have put the first guy in on the show.He was on beat and the two OGs.went harder than turbo and Ozone.Robotnic shows.Thiis is big for our Copied Culture.
Instant classic!! Two of my favorite jookers and they killed it!!! Jaws and Nerd been on a tear! Look at N-Dot's face in the back. Surf started it and they definitely finished it 💯🔥
Did Memphis create it or did Chicago? I don't have a bone in the fight just curious. I am from Detroit so we Jit, very similar but we did what we do, and Jit vs Juke is a whole other conversation.
@@kristopherthomas181 Tbh.. black folk down south moved to cities like Detroit and Chicago and brought them dances there and they developed more from there. But im pretty sure juking or jooking comes from juke joints. Memphis has always had a distinct step that originated there. Plus alot of ppl from MS brought some delta flavor to Memphis as well back then.
I am certain our house music in Baltimore originated from Chicago's style as well. But that possibly makes sense since many blks that live in places like Detroit & The Chi pretty much followed the Mississippi River up to escape south. Gd read @sckid1991
I don't know anything about jookin but this is 🔥, they both did awesome but the guy in orange is on another level and that dice throw move with the floating walk was amazing 👏🏾
@1:08 did anybody else catch the heart outline with his hands along with the music 😮💨🤯😱?? Breathtaking Moves all the way through.🥳💯 I have NEVER thought about dance moves even close to that and I dance like them!! 😱🤯
Crunchy black of three 6 Mafia is one of the originators I believe. As time went on, the new generation enhanced the dance and added their own spices on to it. Great performance.
Bruh this shyt was magnificent, a top 5 dance exhibition ever, the intricate technique of pop-lockin with the unmatched Memphis jookin. A fck'n masterpiece.
Bro why is nobody talking about that jacket that Unc got on?!🔥🔥 That shit got hella steeze and it's for the culture. It's definitely giving me 90s energy
I'm stuck watching all of these but this oarticular video has been rewinded over a dozen times and i keep coming back to analyse this. You guys definitely raised the bar to a next level
Definitely one of the top greatest dance moments I have seen in my life...this inspired me and I don't even dance but watching greatness on this level gives a feeling of inspiration to wanna be awesome well at least for me it did.
The levels of this is off the charts...kind of magic that is rarely captured on camrs...literally one of them "you had to be there moments"...so luck and grateful to witness this!
I’m so glad my/ our people can always find love, light and happiness through our ability to express ourselves in the form of dance. What I just watched has the power to uplift, inspire and influence the whole planet. It’s just something about the way black Americans vibe together that truly makes us a unique group of people. I love to see this type of creativity from us. 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾
It is amazing to see young Black men and women take dance to the next level just when everyone else tries to imitate the current dance culture. Keep it rocking. 😅
Every millisecond was breath taking ya dig! I'm new to the jookin, I got my 1st taste from Duce Duke and every since that day I've been 🪝! Like on some real shyt I b tweaken for some of dat good ole Memphis Jookin 💯 🙌 GOD MODE
@@MuneyDaGr8 It flows to perfectly together and they knew in advance when the cypher was happening for it not to be practiced. And that doesn't take anything away from it, it's still straight 🔥 🔥
They are two of the best I've seen thus far. I could watch these brothers do this for hours. They definitely have mastered their dance techniques. Much respect from Montgomery Alabama 334 💙💙💙
WORDS CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN HOW CRAZY THAT WAS FOREAL 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾........JUST PEEP EVERYBODY'S REACTION AROUND THE ROOM......THE 2 BROTHAS IN THE BACK UP TOP WAS CALLIN IT QUITS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mane I was brought up on the memphis sound and gangsta walking, that's all we did as teenagers. So to see this really made me smile. I'm from arkansas but being in the West Memphis area we grew up on Memphis culture ......so GET BUCK!!!!!
